'14 GA S Cortez McDowell (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Amen. All the talk about TKjr and Gaulden being day 1 starters and this kid could be better than both. It's almost like he's been forgotten about.

If he's good enough to take one of their spots we'll be sitting pretty at safety

A poster on VQ who works in the Bama athletic dept said Kirby Smart thinks he's the best safety in this class. TIFWIW.

Which is why I'd prefer him there over corner. Hopefully Evan stars opposite cam, thereby avoiding negating Gaulden's greatest strength... Tackling. At safety he would be our " safety" net, and would prob rack up a shat ton of tackles. At corner that number would go down, although he could have the ability to shut down that side. I just think he'd help more overall at safety blowing tight ends up, intercepting passes, and breaking Rb legs with cam

I was referring to McDowell. I think Gaulden is our nickel back day 1.

I would disagree with that then, after seeing TK perform on offense and to see his shiftiness for such a big guy, I like his athleticism a little better, albeit slightly. Going off hs numbers alone, dangerous thing to do I know, I'd go with Gaulden as the best of the three. But that's what recruiting is, a risk and a gamble. You can't project work ethic and want to. But with three excellent prospects one maybe two is likely to shine! Hopefully all three.

Ehh, may be a little too young. I think Coleman wins a spot on experience alone. But we will be a lot faster for sure

With the EE's I think it's only a matter of time till they figure in to the 2 deep. It's just so clear that what we currently have other than Sutton and Randolph is not going to win games against the top teams.

I agree with everything you said, and I hope someone like Gaulden and McDowell can come in and produce like Sutton has.

Coleman winning a job on experience? Really? How? What experience does have that they don't? Getting bombed on? Or is it that he still plays like a freshman? Taking false steps in coverage while never tracking a deep ball at all.

Brewer doesn't seem to need to play better to keep his spot over JRM
