Is that the Core6 Athletes team?

Yeah, its a big mistake by Florida, bad enough Core6 Atheletes was tweeting about it.

They have produced a ton of All-Americans over the years. Have to think this doesnt help Florida, but how much it hurts them is the question.

I see an opportunity for CBJ to step right in and forge a good relationship with Core6.

Think about this my man, Florida will always get top athletes. Core 6 whining about not getting red carpet treatment as a whole is ridiculous. IMO Everybody knows the stars get treated better than the sidekicks. I wish luck to all of those athletes but everyone won't get treated like the Garrett-level prospect. That's just the reality of the situation.

This is the attitude Dooley portrayed to area high schools when they did not have a player worth his time. The problem with this is one day they probably will but if you have burnt the bridge, you lose out on the one you would've wanted. Be nice to everyone. Doesn't mean you have to offer them.

I can't speak to Garrett, but I'm in 100% agreement with you. The problem with what happened (supposing you believe that coach/trainer, which is debatable), is that a lot of these star players want you to show love to their friends and family members as well (being that many of these Core6 guys are close friends). OSU ran into the issue with Peppers (not Core6, but an elite player) by what was perceived as snubbing his friend JBBeatty during his visit according to Peppers' coach, and Peppers was unwilling to consider OSU after. It happens all the time. Michigan scored big points with Peppers during his visit a day or two earlier by offering JBB. I don't think Florida needs to offer these players, but I'm sure the issue is something Muschamp takes seriously (and may even be assessing with his staff as we speak).

For those who aren't aware btw, Core 6 is/has been home to Pocic (#4 OT), Tuley-Tillman (4* OL), Treadwell (#1 WR), Garrett (#4 LB), Jamarco Jones (Rivals100 OL), Nyles Morgan (Rivals100 LB), and a number of other D1 prospects. And they've only been around for three years, that's nothing to scoff at imo. There aren't many athletic groups that can boast around 6 top100 players in two years. Florida has offered many of those players, so I'd think their relationship with Core6 is more important than the fans think.

My thought as well. They might not have many elite players now, but they might in the future. If you burn the bridge, you can forget about getting any in the future.

It's never a good thing to offend kids or a training group but Florida is and always will be built on Florida talent. The SEC will always be built on southern talent. It's the reason the titles always come down here. And the reason OSU is recruiting so hard down here(Got to catch up :) ).

I agree with you that there's plenty of talent in Florida as is. And that they'll be fine with/without Core6. But it never hurts to be in the running for guys like Treadwell (Ole Miss), Pocic (LSU), and Garrett (likely LSU/UF/UT). Never want to alienate a group that pumps out that many top100 players.

But the state of Florida is the most talent-rich state in the country, so UF will be fine regardless. As an OSU fan naturally I'd like more southern players, but Core6 is the real deal.

Anyone who's seen Muschamp knows it's hard enough for him to fake a good personality to people he's recruiting, so I'm not sure why anyone thinks it's news that he was a terrible host to a team of players. That's one of the perks to being the UF and Texas coach, you don't need to be a good recruiter.

“For me, every school has the nice facilities and everything, so I want to go down with a great recruiting class, I want to come down with a legendary class,” he said.

“I want to be around great people, great coaching staff, great players that are already there, and I want to be around a great environment. I don’t want any negative activity or anything like that, I want to go down to a positive program that’s doing everything right.”

Garrett was also able to swing by*Vanderbilt*with his 7on7 team, but the trip was brief and he didn’t speak with any coaches. He hopes to get back to LSU soon and also hopes to see Tennessee before the summer is over. One definite official visit on his mind is to Florida when they host Tennessee.

“I’m going to start thinking really hard after I take those officials, after the season and everything, but I’ll probably make my decision in January at the Army All-American Bowl,” he said.

i read on RebelGrove (Ole Miss's Rivals) that UT is behind LSU and Ole Miss. I knew LSU was his leader but Ole Miss?????

Garrett's stated that we are number 2---not sure about ole miss. Just chill and hopefully the kid will visit here in the next month or so.

Treadwell connection IMO. They're pretty good friends (from Core6 coincidentally enough). Also got him down there visiting and interested before he developed an interest in LSU iirc.
