'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Because VOL74 knows what is going on in the Coach's circle and has a track record of being right and was just as surprised as CBJ. Please don't call me naive again until you understand my position. That's really weak. Grades just came out and hr can't get in any school today.

VOL74 knows so and thus it must be true?

Let me guess; if Lambert's grades turn out to be fine and he enrolls with no problems into Auburn the only explanation will be that Auburn changed his grades, right?

I can respect the fact that he switched to Auburn. I can't respect the fact that he told our coaches up until today that he was all Vol, thus screwing us out of pursuing other JUCO DL prospects for backup. It's bulls***.

This is my problem with it. Total joke. I really hope Gus leaves for Texas. Would be awesome

I'm reading backwards so forgive me. He might not make his grades? Can I laugh without being too mean? Sorry, I did anyway.

edit: I though you couldn't sign today unless you knew you had the grades? Is that wrong?

Yes, the guy who was clearly 100% wrong yesterday in claiming that Lambert was "All Vol" with "No Worries" is now divulging his entire academic transcript...he apparently got 2 D's and an F!

I mean, he cant possibly be wrong...right? He's practically sitting next to Butch Jones apparently.

I've never seen anyone whose team got a big time recruit to flip TO his school on signing day act so butt hurt.

Why would Auburn University allow a silly thing like grades to keep a football player from enrolling? They can get his transcripts doctored just like Jovon Robinson without any trouble.

That's quite likely...Jovon Robinson would agree with you.

Recruit with grade issues=automatic flip to Aubbie IMO :)

Do any of you actually bother to research what you claim?

Auburn University informed the NCAA regarding Robinson's transcript discrepancy, as it was they who received the second 'altered' transcript and then contacted the school regarding two different transcripts. As a result he was ruled ineligible. To take it even further, Auburn apparently cant re-sign Robinson again even if they wanted to.

So explain this to me...they changed his grades, he enrolled, then they admitted to the NCAA that there was something wrong with his grades, he was ruled ineligible, and now they cant even bring him back? Sounds like a genius plan.

Believe what you want to believe. The more realistic scenario is that someone pushed the counselor to Robinson's grades, he ended up at a school that that person didn't support, and thus they snitched. The counselor who was doing the grade changing was an Ole Miss grad.

The teacher, who convinced the counselor to change the grade was such an AU fan she went on his official visit with him, Read the USA Today article from this fall. The NCAA noticed they had two transcripts that didn't match. Only then did AU turn it in and cover their butts.

The counselor was Yvette Lynch at Wooddale who changed the grade at the behest of Rhonda Wilkinson who is just a phys ed teacher and the Auburn fan in question who drove Robinson on his OV to Auburn. Factor in that Trooper T was handling his recruitment and the whole thing stunk.

Auburn had 2 other recruits in that same class who failed to qualify; one being from the state of Alabama. Why weren't their grades changed? You'd think they'd have an easier time changing grades at an in-state HS than they would in Tennessee...a state that Auburn barely recruits. Auburn had two more instate kids, both highly regarded, fail to qualify in the following class as well.

Get real. Just because the teacher was an "Auburn fan" doesn't mean that Auburn had any involvement....which is why the NCAA concluded that there was nothing to indicate that anyone from Auburn ordered the change. Auburn contacted the HS to inquire about the transcript in late JUNE...this thing didn't become a story until August, so save me the "oh they only admitted after they got caught" story.

Man your thick. No he has another semester to bring his grades up and enroll in the summer. When you fail half of your Fall classes knowing what is on the line, odds are Spring wont be any better. You obviously haven't been on VN very long and don't understand what has been discussed for a long, long time.

After re-reading this clowns multiple posts and after giving him the benefit of the doubt of being new to VN...A spade is a spade

TROLL! Nothing more from me Barner. Now go play in heavy traffic.

The NCAA doesn't put out a press release when they find something like that. It's when the press gets wind of it. The time frame has nothing to do with it. Were the other two recruits good enough to probably be the best juco RB next year? There's lots of articles about it if you want to read something from a non-Auburn site.

Goat! What about Rich man? There is a big hole in VN without him. I'm still not fully comprehending he is gone. I think about his boys, they were his purpose in life.

It hit me hard seeing the news today. I feel kind of hollow. Never knew him in real life, but have posted with him since GVX. I'm with you, just praying for his family. 😓

You're a pro driver like Rich was. One of his last posts was logging 123 hrs. In 9 days. That works out to over 13 hrs. a day. That seems to me that fatigue took his life and I'm thinking he was driving way over the legal daily limit. I don't know but I'm sure you know. If you think this was not right, please post in his thread so his wife can pick up on it and sue the living crap out of his company.

Her name is Yvonne Coffey if you want to message on FB

I am, and currently drive the exact same size delivery van he drives. Cdl drivers work on a daily hourly restriction placed on us by federal laws. It's a 11/14 limit. 11 hours driving, and 14 total. So, you can work 14 hours daily, but only 11 can be behind the wheel. That can be 3 hours loading and or securing your load. All time behind the wheel is counted, even if you are sitting. After the limit, you are required 10 hours away. Sleeper berth, or hotel. Also there is a required 34 hour reset after 70 hours worked.

The thing is, none of that applies if the truck you drive is NOT a commercial vehicle. I have no clue if what he was driving was. Still praying for his family.
