'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

I'm just surprised this thread is still getting so much visitors and attention! He's gone so let's go! Let's move in to the next guy that wants to don the orange and white and can't be swayed with $mooth talkin coache$ and open ended promi$e$!!!! He don't wanna be here so I don't want him here! Good luck in your future endeavors d lamb! Cya on the grid iron in Atlanta in a couple of years!

My nephew is a senior at Auburn. He said he has some of the players in his classes and he says that the team has these "checkers"that come by the classes and look in to make sure the players are in class and check them off. He said in one class a couple of the players would sit there until the checker came by then immediately throw their bookbags over their shoulders and say... "we're outta here" and walk out.

Has anyone asked the VQ guys if we will recruit him again if he doesn't end up EE'ing? Their answer to said question will determine how much I care about this thread.

A lot of schools have handlers. I'm pretty sure UT had them in the past and likely still does. It's the amount of "help" that these kids get that is the issue. Most places have them to just make sure the kids are in class where they are supposed to be.

Not a specific answer to your question but IIRC Hubbs stated Lambert would be a take regardless of whether he was an EE or not. This was before the flip to Auburn.

Why do you people keep bringing this thread back up to the top with posts? Moderator please lock this thread and let it drop out of site. It looks embarrassing to keep being butt hurt over this recruit. Let it die. Day after day I keep coming on here and seeing this thread at the top of the page. Enough is enough.

There is this handy feature called, "Ignore Thread" you can always give a try.

Simple enough to ignore the thread.

It's not about ignoring the thread; it's about our fans looking like butt hurt dumb a$$s. Ignoring the thread won't make it go away; it only makes it where I won't see it. Stop posting in it.

I've seen this several times. And to me the only ones that are butthurt are posters that are obviously distressed any time they see this thread bumped. The rest of us are discussing a possible bizarre twist in a recruitment that may or may not be done.

Yes, you are probably right. Keeping an Auburn signee at the top of our recruiting board with silly posts is real important and looks great for our fan base. :eek:lol: There are some really weird people who hang out here. This kid is not coming to UT so why are we discussing him, regardless of the possible bizarre twist that you imagine?

Why do people still want this guy? Sure he's good, but he strung us along until signing day and dropped us like a bad habit. I don't want the guy. I want the guys that keep their commitment. I'm with the other dude. Let this thread die, much like Lambert's education.

Who are you to tell someone where they can and can't post?

How hypocritical is it to complain about a thread being bumped while your comment itself bumps it? If you want it to go away, maybe you should stop commenting.

Well I tried that (not posting to let if drop out of sight) for about a week hoping people would figure it out, but we have some pretty slow folks on here who just insist on keeping this recruit alive, so I had to come in and say enough is enough. Let it die people.

So you're saying LET IT DIE AND QUIT POSTING?

Then just hit ignore and it let go in your mind. Starting some crusade to get everyone to quit commenting in a thread is pointless (especially considering the last page of responses are responses to you and nothing about Lambert himself).

You're worried about the intelligence of our fans? :eek:lol:

You're in for a rough life, bud. Just ignore the thread if it bothers you, simple as that. People are going to continue bumping this at this point just because it pisses you off.

Not me imagining it bud. Hubbs stated that it wasn't likely that he would be an EE which would possibly make his LOI void. Again, you say it's weird to obsess over the thread. I find it weird that you're obsessed over people possibly being obsessed.

UT does as well. I finished up Fall '12 and had an Anthropology class with Bullard, Williams, Kerbyson, McNeill, and Bonner in it. Some girl would roll up in a golf cart walk in to see who was there, them roll out. I think this is common practice.
