We all hope he gets in and plays well. I just won't be feeling sorry for him when he doesn't.

Can't ignore the reality of the situation. If Chris doesn't make it in, he could go play semipro, ball out, and still make the pros.

So Burger is part of the VOL family but Weatherd isn't? That was pretty much the gist of my post. Not doing a very good job for someone who claims to be such a great mult tasker.

Did you even read the first sentence? I said they both are on the same level: fans.

Yeah i read it. I also kept up with the Twitter feeds and watched CW keep in contact with other recruits and encourage several players including Bryant to come to UT. He may not play for us, but he's definitely more than a "fan".

Tons of fans contact recruits doing this also. Ainge actually promotes this.

Hang on lol. We had almost stopped arguing. Do you really think it's the same for fans to contact players as another highly rated player? Sab and utnate want you to think really hard before you answer this.

Burger quick question for you. You stated earlier that you would rather have athletes who do well academically and don't just barely skim through. Many of the classes these athletes take at JUCO are the exact same classes (gen-eds) that they would be taking in Knoxville. Do you believe it should be a 2.5 minimum GPA as well to play here for current athletes on our roster?

Why not? You could actually say kids were getting an education. One of the huge complaints in the lawsuit is that kids weren't getting an education.

Not at all. Fans shouldn't be contacting recruits, but they do it anyways. That love letter Sab sent is still comedy gold.

I'd like to see that famous letter by Sab lol. To Scroggins correct?

And I still haven't watched the notebook. The lady friend is pushing it though.
