I'm glad they're raising the standard. If you can't get into college normally, you shouldn't with a lowered GPA as a football players.

With that mindset we should have a minor league for NFL then. Also should be able to draft out of highschool. Sounds stupid right. So does forcing non college students that are exceptional athletes to attend class in order to go to the league.

Baseball and soccer players do not have the same requirements as football and basketball players.

There is already minor league football. It's called arena football.

You should be able to read and write above a high school level to go to college. You could better yourself outside of school. No need to make excuses for people who simply won't put in the work.

Does being able to read and write above a HS level automatically guarantee eligibility?Pretty sure there's a little more to it. Hell a minute ago they didn't need to read or write. The whole solution was rate my professor. Make up your mind.

lord have mercy. can someone update this kids status as i dont want to go back five pages and re-read through all the estrogen laiden bickering and arguing over had damn hard college is or isnt? holy ****. whoo cares?

He's in Knoxville visiting right now. Won't be eligible until the start of fall classes at the earliest. It's not looking good for him making it in.

I wouldn't mind a equivalency test for kids who don't pass or get the act/sat scores.

Then they don't belong in college. There are other options.
College standards should not be lowered anymore so anyone can get in. If you can't get the grades, then you should not get to play.

Name the other options for football players that have a main goal of going to the NFL.

is it time we moved on?..I know his video is great and we need him but do we move on or wait?..im just wondering.

Thank you. I'll keep that in mind next time I use it.
There are hundreds of football leagues out there that will pay you to play football.

How many have media coverage, fans, facilities, or coaches like major college football?

It isn't as easy as you are trying to make it sound

Never said it was the same as college football. All I said is that there are other options. It's not the only road to the NFL as the scouts look everywhere for talent.

Semipro football is huge. I might be exaggerating a bit, but there is a squad in almost every big city.

And yet the only 2 guys that I've ever heard of making it via this route are

Bernie Parmalee (former UPS truck driver) RB Miami Dolphins

Kurt Warner QB St. Louis / Arizona
