'14 JUCO LB Chris Weatherd (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Having a similar team as this year, next year, is not a good thing IMO. Lol. We are vastly under talented at just about every position. I am hoping for a better team each year from here on out under coach Jones. I hope 10 years from now we are still having Butch Jones discussions in regard to UT and the run he's had at the University of Tennessee.

My point was that we are likely losing our whole starting OL, most of our contributing DL, at least two starting LBs and maybe AJ, etc. and there will likely be some growing pains associated with these losses even if the team is more talented overall. I think the listed guys help transition in 2014 to have another 7-5 +\- 1 win and prepare for a legit SEC east title contender in 2015.

I did but then Otha Peters walked in.

Will not be an EE anymore. Some things have happened, that will not allow me to do so anymore.. To all, I apologize.

Does this affect his status with the team? I thought I read several times previously that the staff wouldn't take JUCO if they werent' EE. Which was thought by many to be the reason Lauderdale parted ways with us. Ron any comment?

LOL It doesn't affect his status as a commitment. LB is a huge need and he's the #1 OLB in JUCO. It's been known for a while that he wasnt likely to be an EE. Whoever started that stuff about them not taking JUCO's who aren't EE's have some very bad information or misinterpreted what has been said. The only thing that has been said is they prefer their JUCO's to be EE's, just like every other staff in the country.

is he still a take now that he won't be an EE? I know that its been discussed about why Lauderdale is no longer committed and that they want all JUCO's to be EE's...
