'14 JUCO LB Chris Weatherd (UT Signee 2/5/14)

This guy weatherds a lot of anxiety and "bashing" from the fan base that is supposed to be supporting him 100%. I personally don't care when he gets to Knoxville because whenever that is he will be a beast for the O&W. That is all that matters. Game on Mr. Weatherd. Glad your a VOL!!!

This is ridiculous. Our fane base isnt bashing anyone.

This kid has been rock solid since he committed. Hell, he even sang Rocky Top on Knoxville sports talk radio, yet every week something stupid pops up and everyone questions his commitment or status with the team. Give it a break, it's useless. He isn't going anywhere.

Bashing wasn't the best word. The fact that as soon as he wasn't an EE anymore many folks started writing him off has got to be frustrating to the young man.

Although I'm super pumped about seeing Blair, Lambert and Pearson come in and contribute immediately, I am excited the most about seeing Weatherd in orange. This guy is absolute beast mode personified, and he will be a tremendous impact for our ailing defense from Day 1.

Chris Weatherd is still on board, Tennessee fans. Everything is fine, don’t fret, he says. He will not be enrolling in January as previously planned because he needs to finish a few more classes, this is true–but he’s still coming to Rocky Top by May, he has the blessing of Butch Jones, and he can’t wait to sing with you all next year. He has dealt with rumors lately that he won’t be able to transfer or that he’s changed his mind on schools.

That’s where everything stands, he emphasized to Saturday Down South. Weatherd is rated the No. 1 junior college outside linebacker in the nation by 247Sports.com’s composite ranking. He plays at Trinity Valley Community College in Texas.

Weatherd said he welcomes the passion and interest.

“Every now and then it’s OK,” Weatherd told SDS on Wednesday night. “I’m growing to be an adult, but I’m still a teenager. I’m not going to change what I’m doing or how I do it (with social media). But I know my manners and what’s right and wrong, and when people assume things–I just think that’s one thing you don’t do. I announced that I’m not going to be an early enrollee, and it all happened. Coach Jones knows that I needed to get a few classes in. He just told me I’ll need to make as many trips up there as I can get as much of the vibe as I can so I’m not out of the loop when I get there.”

I can't put anyone on ignore. My curiosity gets the best of me.

Funny thing is I am only agreeing with the importance of getting this recruit.

Just another example of a poster supposedly ignoring another without the self discipline to follow thru with doing just that.

Or blind hatred for a poster no matter the content of the post.

I hear ya. I just couldn't take the constant dramatics, analytics, and over-the-top speculation from him. It's made my perusing a lot more enjoyable. Not that he doesn't get some things very very correct - he does. I just don't like the aforementioned traits.

Understandable. I tried ignoring a different poster, can't even remember who now, but then I couldn't stand it when I saw the responses and had no idea what they said.

The problem with ignore is you can still see what they said if someone responds to them.

That's really cute.

This thread is exactly where it should be right now.

This kid is one of the top 5 most important recruits in this class.

Weathred is one of the most important recruits in this class. Unless we were to land Garret, we need him badly. The guy is a hard hitting LB with good speed.

I'd take the fastest one... Not sure which one that is... Only if I had to tho

This guy is gonna take aj's spot so fast it will make his head spin. Or sapps, or brewer . Just get here !
