To answer everyone's questions on who was putting it out there that this staff wants their JUCO's to be EE's, Doug Matthews is the one I've heard putting it out there.

This development makes me nervous, but there's no way you show him the door. Day 1 starter, IMO.

Did not mean to imply that. Simply meant the next best two are Garrett and Johnson, as we have shots there whereas with say recruits like nukes Morgan or rashaan Evans I do not believe we are really in it. In fact the Evans visit worries me that he is a huge au lean and is coming in for that game out of the blue. And he fits a 3-4 better which is uga territory. Best hope is that his interest is legitimate bc of thig.

This kid will be a Vol. We need immediate help outside and Weatherd is a 3 down LB who can contribute immediately.

The weekly recruiting update thread says weathered will no longer be an EE. I thought butch won't take any juco that aren't EE. Anyone hear anything about the situation?

Didn't mean for you to take that the wrong way...just letting you know that it was discussed ad nauseum shortly after confirmation of Weatherd not being an EE. I apologize if I came off the wrong way. :hi:

Does Weatherd not being an EE effect who we make a push for down the stretch? (Is an EE Linebacker a must?)

I don't think it changes who they recruit. It could make things interesting if some other linebacker(s) wanted to come.

If Rashaan Evans or Clifton Garrett decided they wanted to come to UT, then they probably tell Weatherd to look elsewhere now. Other than that, what other linebackers do you think they would replace Weatherd with, Ron?
