'14 JUCO TX WR Kameel Jackson (UT walk-on)

Bumped to say I saw Kameel tweeting about scoring TDs this year, so I went to see where he was going. Found this from about 3 or so days ago:

“@Kameeljackson4: Final Exam done.. Been grinding all spring. UT a month away. R.I.P UNC. Tunnel Vision.”

But what does it mean???

Can't decipher that.. way beyond my understanding.

My exams are finally finished. I have put forth a relentless effort this spring, really trying my best. I'll be enrolling at UT in a month, and will attempt to walk on there. RIP to my beloved uncle (or North Carolina?). Very focused

Pretty sure he's talking about the University of Tennessee. Hasn't he been planning to walk on at UT for awhile now?

the kid was getting PT and contributing a little as a true freshman in a rotation with Ryan Broyles & Kenny Stills. Hes legit. Not your average Walk On. Glad to see he has stuck with it and seemed to have gotten everything in order.

I'll be interested to see where his skill set is at currently. It's been awhile since he has played big time ball. Sounds like a no lose situation on our part.

i agree.

if hes kept himself in good shape then he will have 3 months to get himself in even better shape, learn playbook, and throw with the QBs. Could be a huge asset. hes a guy who can play inside and outside too. physical kid.

On a side note, Kameel was in the 2011 class at Oklahoma and according to an article in Feb on ESPN that class has lost over half of the signees. It was ranked #11 in the nation at the time. ESPN graded the class at D- as of the date of the article not for who they signed but for who they have left. They said it easily turned out to be Stoops worst class ever. So Oklahoma's senior class this year won't even begin to measure up to their 2011 ranking. In other news a Butch Jones coached inaugural Cincinnati team in 2010 that would finish the season 4-8 came within 2 points of upsetting the then #8 ranked Sooners who finished the season 12-2. The Bearcats lost in a squeaker 31-29.

So did he ever walk on here?

I'd say we'll find out with the other summer signees even though he's a walk-on. If he's serious, he'll be here in the summer with the rest of the team.

I've not found any reputable source substantiate the tweet yet though.

He told a guy on twitter he reports on the 29th. That's about when the new signees start rolling in as well. Hope it's true.

If he makes on campus the WR corps just got another weapon! UT will be loaded at the WR position. If the OL is able to protect the QB he should have plenty of targets to throw to.

That's my biggest fear this season. Worried about overall talent on O-line with also the most suspect position coach.

If this is true. HOLY Shiz WRU gone be unfreaking real. It already was but dang this dude as a walk on? My goodness

Swain said he has some work to do in the classroom but intends to walk-on at UT. Said he would be in 2 deep at WR for us when he comes to campus. He also said he's in shape but will have to work himself into "UT football shape."

It's gotten to the point where I honestly can't tell when people are joking about this. The line between insanity and reality on VN has blurred entirely.
