'14 JUCO TX WR Kameel Jackson (UT walk-on)

Yeah, I hated Pollack back in the day and I can't stand anything about McCarron. Murray was one of the toughest QBs I've seen in my life, especially for a relatively small QB. I've seen him take some hellacious beatings in his time and he would just always pop back up, rebuckle his chinstrap and stand in the pocket for as long as it took on the next play.

I always liked Murray as well as Connor Shaw. Felt bad that I had to actively root against them, but not that bad.

I'm really looking forward to the day when I can root for Todd MF Gurley without guilt. Partly because he's absolutely ridiculous on the field and partly because it means he's in the league and no longer gashing our defense for tons of yards.

How do you put Drae Bowles in the list and honorably mention Josh Smith who actually beat him out and has some production? That's not to say i wasn't extremely disappointed in Josh sir-drops-a-lot Smith, but Drae Bowles is just MIA. Good, no, great kid, but just something is amiss with him on the football field.

Because all he cares about is how many stars they had coming out of HS

Serious... Pollock is one of the worst human beings on the planet. There are tons of stories that have circulated about him. And agree on Murray. Hes a tough little $hit

Pollack seems like a guy I'd like to fight if I was sure I could handle myself. And I'm not confrontational.

Our roster change in two years is just incredible considering our record. I don't know how butch is selling it, but recruits seem to trust him. He must be a genuine good guy. The 1 in 10,000 type of person that people love to be around, that makes everyone better

Agreed Sto, I truly expect a turnaround this year and the overall expectation is that we will suck but I feel that's clouded by our recent performance. But we are primed to break out. Talented and hungry. Dangerous IMO.

I'd fight Tebow and Kiffin if I was absolutely sure I could take em.

Why would you fight Tebow? For one, he'd handle himself just fine.

And no one should ever be afraid of fighting Kiffin. He's a pretty boy waif. He'd probably wet himself.

One thing I think we can all agree on is No one wants any part of a liquored up Butch Jones with something to prove. He's barrel-chested and probably fights dirty.

If we could just get 2 solid defensive tackles , hold teams to 130 yards rushing or less, and make opposing offenses 1 dimensional, we could make a run for a win in every contest. I'm not too worried about offense, our receivers sucked last year making the qb's look horrible. No threat of a running game. That will change this year. Just hope we don't have to out score everybody due to bad run defense.

After all of the Kiffin crap happened, I remember playing out the scenario in my head that I would see him in a gas station or somewhere like that and kick him square in the balls. I felt that it was my obligation as a VFL. Sadly, I never got that opportunity.

Sto, I don't have a link to it but if you can find the interview with Vic Wharton when the six legend players met with the press the other day it gives a terrific picture of why he committed and why most of the others followed him and TK, Jr. and Hurd. He said everyone loved Butch and the whole coaching staff and they felt like they were all part of a family. Vic had intended to sign with Butch at Cincinnati but when Butch got the TN job it made things work out for the best because he was a big Tennessee fan anyway. Just listening to Vic should make everyone very proud to have him on our team. It's the team concept and the fact that this is the 2nd year with this staff for many of these players (plus the spring practice for about half the new players) that has me believing that this team will overachieve this year and get some surprise wins.

Our ends are better and AJ and JRM will compensate for the green DTs on run support. If Worley and the hyped WR corp can get the D out of the box then it's on. I think our D will be fine. It all comes down to the balance on offense for me and somehow for the 1st time in a while I think this year it comes together on both sides. If not though by mid season then you gota go with Dobbs and start planning for the future.

I'm starting to get psyched up boyz.. Been a long offseason. Everybody's grating on each other's nerves, good Vols are arguing with each other, just aching to start back up what Neyland built. Hurd is gonna beast mode on some Sob's. That is all.

I seriously don't know what that means. I have twitter, but just follow. As a matter of fact I have only followed Vol related people, not a single one of my friends or loved ones. Ain't nobody got time for that.
