I really don't think I would count Barker as settling, not by a long shot. However this just shows how great CBJ and his staff have been on the recruiting trail.

Heck I feel way older than 22 already. I think my insane 2.5 year old son, pack a day habit and awful diet might be the cause though lol tried to play a pickup game of bball on Sunday and almost had a heart attack.

Barker is ranked what? 106 on 247? I hardly call that settling. Obviously Cornwell is higher ranked but it's extremely possible that Barker could come here and have a much better career.

Perhaps you misunderstood my settling comment. With the way this staff is recruiting, I think taking Barker before Corn makes his choice would in fact be settling. It's obvious who their #1 is. To take the second option before the first proclaims his destination would be foolish. Jmo of course.

If barker called to commit, I would just not answer and tell him the phone service was cut off for a month. He would be cool with that.
