'14 MD LB Jerome Dews (UT Commit 6/24)

I think it's actually a plus for him. The time at safety could make him a better OLB. Lots of guys struggle in space. This training could help him in that area.
Honestly i think he eventually ends up at OLB when its all said and done, im just ready to get all this madness over with I personally along with his mom are sold on UT, but he needs to experience things , i don't think UW can compete with UT as far as the future is concerned, but the fact that he can go in June concerns me a little, i don't want him to make the wrong choice based upon when he can enroll, i for one have been sold on the Prep school route and think that's the best route for him.

I agree...Prep School can do wonders for a kid especially a younger guy like Jerome. Gives him a little more time to physically mature as well as mentally. I hope he decides Knoxville is still the best place for him. Prep school will still allow him to be on The Hill come January, so it isn't really that much longer of a wait. Thanks for your insight...I'm sure you and mom will guide him in the right direction :)

If they want him to come in as a 225lb SS that makes me think we are trying to move too a base 4-2-5 and he is going to be the big Safety

The prep school wants him at SS, not UT. Pretty much just read MDObserver's posts in this thread and you'll be good.

I'm an hour from Madtown and its 42° and 30 mph winds, why would he want to give up a view from the top for that!
