Oh my MDO. That was fast. Best of luck to Jerome wherever he ends up. I will certainly follow his career.

Holding out hope that this is just a small bump in the road and things will still work out with UT.
I'm with you on that, we shall see, he going up there Wed, so something may come out of that who knows, maybe they kiss and make up, because I dont know what went wrong, he told me let him handle itmso I will let him handle, a man has to fight his own battles, time to grow up so he has to start somewhere

So I'd have to guess he had to have got a flat out NO from the UT coaches recently. I can't imagine he would de-commit knowing he will be there and speak to the coaches on Wednesday and could still possibly be considered a part of the 2015 class. Seems like an odd timeline.

Agree. Young man has to make his way in life and that comes with making hard decisions. Will be pulling for Jerome and your family.

We havent got a flat out anything from anybody, thats the reason he going up there Wed, I just told you there has been no communication, if they snatched the offer we havent heard anything about from any coach, and if they did so be it man up and say they did, we would have moved on, no big deal, but we havent heard anything except the plan they set for Jerome peroid!

I sure wish Jerome had stayed, he was one of my favorite recruits last year. Even though as young as he is, he still averaged a couple of sacks a game last year. Good luck Jerome, you will be missed by a lot of your Big Orange Fans.

Please let us know what they tell him when he speaks to them on Wednesday. I guess I just figured he would have waited to de-commit till after Wednesday if he was thinking about doing so unless he had already been told they had moved on.

Dude, he's said more than once that this is Jeromes choice, and that he doesn't necessarily agree with it. That doesn't sound like a flat out no to me by any means, and FFS, you don't need to speculate on every single thing that goes on. Sometimes it's best for everyone to just let things play out. I'm sure the full story will come out eventually, and there's no need to assume the worst or paint our staff in a negative light.

I really hope our coaches didn't slow play Jerome to get him to decommit. I'm a firm believer in a man having integrity. If you make an agreement with someone and they hold up their end of the bargain, then you do the same.

As someone who worked at Maryland and has some football connections there, I hope he's a Terp if he decides not to become a Vol. Either way, I hope he lands in a spot where he can get playing time and a good education.

I dont want to give the staff a negative perception, just a lack of communication according to Jerome, and he is the one that has to live with the decision, so I agree we will see what happens
