'14 MD LB Jerome Dews (UT Commit 6/24)

Jerome absolutely looks the part (looks like an athlete) from these pictures being posted. I still think there's a question of what position he ends up at, but for what its worth the guy just looks really athletic to me. I think he's gonna be a good one
Leo for now, small talk of SS, give or take a few pounds.

Depends on how his frame takes to added weight. It would be nice if that frame could grow into a Anthony Barr type look off the edge. Not saying he will be Barr. Talking in terms of body type potential.

How was the OV so far, MDO? Any good stories to share?
We have kind of been seperated from the kids, but the early enrolles look great alot of progress, you guys should be very excited about this incoming class, I think its the start of something great! The kid from New Orleans, I spent some time with his parents, they seem very interested, UT in my opinion is spectacular.

Sounds great! Thanks for the info on D. Williams, glad to hear his parents are interested.

MDO - you hearing anything about Hendrix or Thomas - 2 of our DL commits visiting other schools this weekend?

Looks small... no way he plays a down at UT as a LB. Looks like a WR.

he is young so he will put on weight once he is in the program..I wanted to see him at TE because of his length and speed..but on film he has such a nose for getting to the ball carrier it's amazing to see..would love to have another hitter like Fred White at SS

Did not know you were his recruiter, maybe he dosent play a down at all, last I looked his education is free, he may care if he never plays a down his mother and I dont, maybe he contributes in practice and makes your starters better, more power to you, there is always a bigger picture, so, he could be the guy that makes another kid better, UT #1 fan!

Just wondering, where could Dews play right away?

He's a LB and he's not even 200 lbs. He's way to raw at the WR position to make an impact there.

The reason he's willing redshirt or greyshirt, is because we are UT. His other offers: NC Central, Hampton, James Madison, Robert Morris, St Francis PA, Temple, and Purdue.

You do the math....

Thinking the weight you are read was from before the end of his junior year of HS. Last I heard, he is now above 200 lbs.

Don't let the offer list fool you, watch the hudl film on him. Screw the math, Dews might red or greyshirt to get his weight better, but he has skill. I am a little tired of the snobbish slights I keep seeing thrown his way on here from tools who aren't good enough to carry his shoes.
