'14 MD LB Jerome Dews (UT Commit 6/24)

Jerome Dews will visit this weekend it appears, but that remains a fluid situation to watch down the stretch, whether Dews is a 2014 prospect or beyond. - VQ

Speed, speed and more speed is what we need at our lb positions. That's why I think Mouhon was easier to let go. Even though Jerome needs to bulk his frame up a bit more I think he could be a special teams ace from the word go. We just don't know if it will be the '14 season or '15. I'm glad the fam is solid to the vols. enjoy your visit!

Could Dews be a Raynoch type LB...fast and physical, just not as big?

I hope so. If I recall correctly, I believe Raynoch came in around 6'3" and 200 lbs...similar to Jerome. Personally, I like the rangy, fast athlete at LB.

Raynoch played his last two years at 218 lbs...was as fast as anybody on our defense. Would love to see Dews become this type of player.

Easy now...
Dews is going to be Dews, he is either going to sink or, Swim, depending on how hard he works, from what I Have seen so far CBJ is 100,he will be blessed with the greatest of everything, food, facilities ect, it is on Jerome to take advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity!

He was one of my favorite players...plus he had the perfect LB name and would lay the wood (no homo)...he got to the ball carrier fast and in a bad mood

I have a feeling that he will do just fine. Seems to have great parents leading him

MDO - congrats to Jerome and your entire family. Sounds like Jerome has gotten good guidance and has a great support system in his parents. What position are the coaches mentioning most for your son? Also, any news you can share on other commits/targets?
