Raynoch Thompson wasn't much bigger when he signed....turned out well for us. So, there you go.He was 200 lb a few posts ago... what gives? Look at the photo of him from his visit the other day...

LB? In the SEC? RIIIIGHT. You're not going to put 45 lbs on the frame and still maintain the athleticism thay earned his scholly to begin with. I've been wrong before (believe it or not).

Am I happy to argue this point? No, i'm glad he's VFL (even though he's considering visiting Purdue...) and hope he turns into an all-american while at UT but the odds are against him. Sure, it may come across a little douche'ish but that's not my intention.
Let's not forget what started this pissing match... I said (after seeing the photo below) "Looks small... no way he plays a down at UT as a LB. Looks like a WR" and somehow that was interpreted that I think he's POS MF'ing MF'er. Overreact much?

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS PHOTO? Kid looks tiny (for a SEC LB)... that's not opinion, it's a FACT. I was not hating on the kid... just making an observation... then MDO (who's either his pops or some creepy vol fan) got his feelings hurt and "owned" me. lol. Then the vol-mob started jumping on his sack and the rest is history. Sooo hate to layeth the smack down but you guys were asking for it. I don't like having to do this, but sometimes it's necessary to humble people every now and again.
inb4 mdo owns me again... :hi:eace2:

still ignoring the facts i see.
a ton of SEC LBs start out at his size. he is a year younger than the rest of the kids in his class. you seem to think that outside LBs have to be 240+ to succeed in the SEC, when our MLB who will be a senior is 243. and one of VNs favorites, JRM is only 210. not many LBs come out of HS at 240+. the kid will gain weight
Dews had a killer highlight tape, and he's clearly an athlete with the potential to grow. But, dude who's arguing with everyone has a fair point about his current size. Unless he gets wider through the chest and shoulders, which is certainly possible at his age, it's going to be difficult for him to put on that much weight.
The size debate is fair if done in a tasteful way and that isn't the case here.
I would be curious to know MDobserver size. It's a pretty darn good predictor for an 18-22 year olds ability to change their body
One last thing I heard last night was that he might visit Purdue. Wild how MDO has not been in here since visit.
Could be because of that or staff maybe telling him not to give out info on here.
You don't see MZ T much anymore either.

Not always. I have found a lot of time boys tend to follow after their moms and girls tend to follow their dads. Not a scientific observation but something I've noticed. I married a relatively short gal at 5' 3" and I'm relatively tall at 6'-3". My daughter is about 5' 7" at 19 YO and my son is on the short side for his age at 14. Now as to weight, I did have trouble gaining weight even though I ate everything in sight but unfortunately, that caught up with me.![]()
