#14 Missouri vs #22 Florida

:hi:

Did you notice Damien Jacobs didn't play today? He was injured too.

Michael Taylor was a 3* recruit, and was thought to be a reach by many so-called experts.

Agree with you on Kelvin Taylor...I wondered why Kelvin hasn't played more so far this season.

That was the point, your 3 star player is better than every Missouri player and Taylor has four and five star backups, just like Jacobs. If he was thought to be a reach they'd be wrong since he's starting at such a talented place. No excuse with a backup qb to a team with second rate talent compared to yours. It's not like you weren't fielding any DT's that couldn't handle the miss ol and freshman qb

Serious question: how was Missouri a 3 point dog at home regardless of the score? Florida's offense was embarrassingly bad even before today and Missouri was at home.

...wait, do you think the Missouri team is composed of all two star players or something?

The loss of QB James Franklin and starting a Freshman (RS) was probably why.

Then again, it was also probably influenced by betting

The backup's final stat line:

18 for 36 295 yards 1 TD 1 INT

Personally - they won - but that's almost an ugly completion rate there (only half)

6 rushes for 15 yards and a TD

This win was a team effort, simply having a weak QB is no indication of failure, and it will be a huge morale booster for the team. Suddenly the South Carolina game next week looks a whole lot for winnable.

I think even without Franklin in at QB, Missouri has a real chance to go at least 9-3 on the season.

This is how SEC teams rank according to their average recruiting class rankings for the last four years according to Rivals. The analysts may be overlooking Auburn. Incidentally, Oregon's average recruiting class ranking is 15, same as Tennessee.

1. Alabama 2
2. Florida 5.25
3. Auburn 7.25
4. LSU 9
5. Georgia 11
6. Tennessee 15
7. Texas A&M 17.5
8. South Carolina 19.25
9. Mississippi 21
10. Arkansas 33.5
11. Mississippi State 34.5
12. Missouri 35.25
13. Vanderbilt 44.5
14. Kentucky 50.5
.

There's so much wrong with this post.

Michael Taylor is not "better than every Missouri player", and you'd be hard pressed to find any team recover from losing its top 2 DTs against a ranked team on the road...not to mention its 5* LB and starting SS.

Given the dumpster fire also known as UF's offense, which just so happens to be without its starting QB, RB and RT, our defense has no margin of error...and we played a team that might represent the East in Atlanta.

Cry me a river with your top five classes against the 35 ranking of Missouri . Fla wasn't the only team missing a very important starter

Hmmm.

Florida will probably be out of the Top 25 with this loss.

Perhaps Vandy can beat them and get the coach fired. I can think of no worse sign of failure.

I don't want or expect your sympathy friend. The first nail in Muschamp's coffin was hammered home today, and I'm more than okay with that.

But let's not fool ourselves into thinking your post on recruiting rankings over the past 4 years takes into account attrition or kids who never made it on campus.

I don't care what the average "star" ranking of a given team is, if you lose what UF lost on defense, when the offense sucks donkey nuts...yet somehow managed to score 31 on UT...you'll see a drop-off in performance.

And if you follow recruiting, you'd know Mizzou's backup QB was highly sought after...UF's backup QB, not so much.

Justify it however you wish, your travails are no worse than Missouri who cannot restock like your team can. They can however coach. 31 on ut was about correct considering talent disparity and starting a freshman on the road.

You must have missed where I said Muschamp is in trouble.

I didn't.

If Justin Hunter didn't get hurt in 2011, UT would have beaten us by 3 TDs.

No we didn't. Excuse me but the boo hooing about injuries looks like an excuse when your team has much better players .

:lolabove:

Easley was arguably the best DT in CFB, 5* LB Ronald Powell didn't play today, and 4* SS Cody Riggs gets ejected on the first play.

LSU exploited the middle of our d-line last week, and gave Mizzou the blueprint.

Would've loved seeing Riggs try to stop those WR. Those guys would've dominated his 5'7 ass.

Yes you did. There were many here claiming Ut beats UF if Hunter doesn't blow out his knee...and I've admitted on at least two occasions UF's coaching is questionable.

It's not like UT has been able to take advantage of our leadership shortcomings, and given our ginormous talent disparity, do you really want Muschamp gone?

I'm not sure what you're arguing at this point.
