Again, I don't know what he's thinking now, and honestly, until he talks, I'm not sure anyone does. - Fortenberry

People actually pay for this?

It wasn't in an article. People ask the VQ mods hundreds of questions a day on their board. That was an answer to a question. He's being honest, would you rather he put some bs spin on it? haha

Yep and I got blasted yesterday for not believing the Skeeter update

I feel you, man. Around 2 months ago I mentioned that I liked skeeter but that he's missed on 3-4 big things. The response from multiple posters was "Man, why are you dogging skeeter?" What the heck? Saying someone missed isn't dogging. It's truth.

Skeeter is an awesome poster and nice guy. He gets lots right, but he's missed. Big whoop. I just think we all need to realize he's telling us what coaches believe, so don't take it as gospel. AND YES, some people do.

I mean I dont think theres a doubt Ol Spurrier havin the last in home wit them is good for the cocks but they (SCjr) could just be optimistic for a gettin a good recruit when its really not like that (jus like we like to do).. or we could just be flippin out ova nothin when our chances are still good (jus like we always do).

All I really kno is that I want this kid and Im nervous as a mutha now

You still have to be a paying member to ask said question right? You are paying to ask people questions that don't know anymore than you do but hey its your money.

It's easy to sit behind the computer screen and say that those guys don't know any more than you do, but think about it for just a second.

How would any of us have a clue what was going on with Scott without pay sites? We wouldn't have known that Tennessee coaches visited him this week. Hell, we wouldn't have known to keep an eye on Scott in the first place. We've been following his recruitment because pay sites reported that Tennessee was gaining momentum some time ago. We'd be relying purely on Twitter for any ounce of information on recruiting. Imagine how crazy that would drive everyone.

For those keeping score, Skeet's credibility is on the line again with this one.

Not really. Before the in-home with the Cocks yesterday it is very likely that UT led. After last night it might be different. How hard is that to understand? I'm not a blind believer in insiders either but information changes as 18 year old kids change their mind. What's good information last week can be bunk this week. Doesn't mean the insider is less credible.

Dont worry man. What do you think a Carolina writer is going to say? If this kid was such a heavy gamecock lean for this long then why hasn't he committed?

This last thing is the one thing that I continue coming back to in this recruitment. So many signs pointed to USCe for so long, but why didn't he pull the trigger? Was he waiting to see if Spurrier retired after this past season? By then we had given him so much to think about by the time the season was over that he no longer thought USCe was the right choice? I think it comes down to him and his family believing Spurrier and how he answered their questions last night.

There's a big difference between "the coaching staff thinks they're in good shape" to "silent commit".

Think it's pretty obvious he's SC now. Looks like a big swing and miss on all the late recruits they pushed for, but I'm more concerned about holding onto Hendrix anyway.

Skeeter popped in and said "Vol". What does that mean to you?

I believe that skeeter knows what the coaches know. The coaches may be wrong in what they know. It's that simple.

You may be right. Regardless, especially after what just happened with Lambert, you'd think the coaches wouldn't be anything more than cautiously optimistic with any recruit who hasn't publicly committed and shut down their recruitment.

I guess with all the blatant liars with pretend info that have posted here in recent years, I tend to be skeptical of everyone.

I would venture that knowing all that stuff makes you more crazy. People on here are on a roller coaster of emotion with every little subjective tidbit these pay sites offer. Ignorance is bliss.

Not sure if you're a troll or just a tool, but understand this, ANY ONE CAN BE A BUST! There is not a single player on any team in the country that is a 100% sure thing or is 100% guarded against injury.

J Hurd is ready to go with strong, fresh legs and healthy knees. The only injured area on his body is healed and damn near bionic at this point.

When you see the coaches push for another RB in this class, take a moment and look at our depth chart before you go and jump off the ledge. No one wants to read that crying, sissy crap.

This is gold

Would be fantastic if we can pull him. What I've read since last night has been a lot more pessimistic about him otherwise.

all it said was that he had a good visit. you never really hear of any bad in home visits that often. i dont see why people are freaking out about that.

Not freaking out about it. Just read somethings about his recruitment that weren't as positive as they were a few days ago.

I would also venture to say that attending Tennessee football games makes you more crazy.

People pay for the things that they love. For every prospect that VQ can't get an inside read on, there's 10 other prospects that they CAN get an inside read on. The fact that they don't have anything on Scott at the moment doesn't make their product worthless.

100,000 people went to Neyland to watch Dooley get tossed around by Alabama in his last season. All of them knew we were going to lose, but hey, it's their money right?

Not flaming you or anything, just hate that paying for a subscription to VQ or 247 gets such a bad rep around here, especially when there's posters that stalk those sites, waiting for a new article to be posted so that they can come back over here, post a link, and write "cliffs?".
