"South Carolina has been at the top of my list for a while," the four-star recruit, who is ranked as the nation's No. 190 senior and No. 8 all-purpose running back, said. "Tennessee moved up a little bit in the past few months or so after I took my official up there. NC State pretty much moved up a little bit too with the new coaching staff. "It's pretty much even with those three schools."
"It may be before the new year, or afterwards in January or something," he said. "But I will [announce a decision date] sometime soon."
Scott said the deciding factor will be his comfort level at his new home. He knows what each program has to offer after officially visiting Tennessee in early October and South Carolina on the weekend of Nov. 15.
"Really, pretty much [it comes down to finding] a place that's comfortable," he said. "You don't play football every month out of the year, so you have to find a place where you'll enjoy living during the other parts of the year."
