chvy1986, He has an OV to Florida on the 17th and is supposed to have in-home visits with both Spurrier and Jones the following week. Not sure on the exact dates of those visits.

A trip to ****sville, FL, an in home with (a most likely drunk) Steve Spurrier, and an in home with Butch "The Closer" Jones.

Vol.

Be nice to have a running back with his skill set. We haven't had one in a while that could break it to the house at any moment

Someone needs to remind Butch before he leaves to stick his foot in the door and tell Scott and his mother, "Remember Derrell, if you go to South Carolina, you'll end up pumping gas for the rest of your life."

I was just referring to the similarities of Scott and Coker. Nearly identical size and speed coming out of high school.

Hurd is my favorite recruit in this class so trust me, I wasn't slighting him in anyway.

UPDATE Jan. 12 - Scott continues to call Tennessee and South Carolina his two leaders and some close to Scott continue to indicate the Vols are ahead in the race at the moment. Scott will make an official visit to see Florida this weekend as the Gators try and close a pretty big gap behind S.C. and Tennessee. The in-home visits with the head coaches down the stretch look to be very important at this stage. Scott has no firm decision date but said he wants to make a decision before signing day.

I think Scott is a Vol. He had plenty of time to hop onboard with SC but never took the plunge. Butch will seal the deal during the in-home visit.

Derrell doesnt have as much straight line speed as coker but he accelerates on the drop of a dime and is much shiftier than Coker.
