"I have had the opportunity to be recruited by some of the best college coaches and programs in the country the past 14 months," Wolf stated. "I have given considerable thought to what I am looking for from this tremendous opportunity. First and foremost, I want to be in a program where I am truly wanted and I feel like I am a significant piece of the program and what they are trying to do in the future."
"After that, I want to be surrounded by great people, not just coaches, but great people that will help me on and off the football field," he added. "How the tight end is used and how they see me contributing is obviously very important as well. Of course like everyone I want to win. Football is the ultimate team sport and winning and playing for championships with your teammates is about as good as it gets."
"I have spent countless hours talking to my parents, my coaches, and my immediate family but in the end they all tell me I have to choose for my reasons, not to please anyone else," Wolf explained. "As I said earlier, the biggest thing I considered was how each school recruited me and how important I think I am to their program and future. To be honest, any of the 19 schools that have offered me would be an honor to play for. The MAC is a great conference, the Big Ten, the SEC, and the ACC are as good as it gets."
"In the end though the schools that have been with me the longest, and have been the most consistent with their message are the ones I am considering right now," he continued. "Yes I have a leader, and I will be making my decision soon. The toughest thing is that there are some pretty special people in this business. If my decision was solely based on how great the coaches have been to me, it would be a much more difficult decision. My final choice will have all the boxes checked off and be the best from top to bottom. Again, I am close and just letting things lay for awhile before I announce anything."
