I've noticed a trend at VN. A lot of posters start feeling negative about Recruit X when we don't hear news at all. It's like you think the silence is bad.
Silence isn't bad news. Silence is no news, so stop worrying.
I'm aware that Knoxville is no glamour-ish city, but I couldn't imagine leaving a place like Hilton Head for the likes of Columbia. I'd say Columbia was a dump, but I'd be insulting dumps everywhere.
I live here and it's not a dump. I'm UT all the way, but Columbia has a very good college atmosphere. Plus, the girls rank up there with the best of them. I could see why kids would want to come here. We should just be glad Clemson hasn't offered yet, because 2 in state schools going after might be to much for us. Kids here have tons of pressure to go to either Clemson or SC.

South Carolina is literally the worst gameday experience and Tennessee was not involved. The stadium is out dated and complete crap. The sandstorm thing is probably the gayest thing I've ever seen and wreaks of a no tradition program. I've been in the city as well and it was less than impressive. I hate saying this, but I prefer UFs experience over anything in Columbia. IMO, it cannot be placed near the same level as Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, etc.I live here and it's not a dump. Sorry, but while Williams-Brice is nice enough, it's location in a warehouse district is not very appealing. Columbia has some decent areas but they are few and far between...mostly, it's a dump.
