Speaking of help right away, Tennessee fans should be wishing that Todd Kelly was on campus last year. They have one more season to wait before the Volunteer legacy dons the Orange and White but Kelly already is displaying an SEC-ready skillset.

Turn on the tape of Tennessee in 2012 and you’ll see a lot of bad angles by the Tennessee secondary, a lot of missed tackles and a lot of chasing wide receivers from behind. Kelly, despite playing in a weak competition level in high school, looks physically and mentally mature enough to make an instant impact in Knoxville and he already shows the ability to take decisive angles to the football in the run game and the pass game.

Kelly has gained 10 pounds of muscle in the offseason and you can really see the difference in his frame. He’s also close to 6-foot-1 in terms of height but with a size 13 shoe he may even have another inch in him somewhere.

Buck Fitzgerald actually retracted this previous statement. He likes Gaulden's versatility and upside better.

The best part about this is that both of them will be Vols so we will be able to enjoy the development of both of them.

Simmons is a tool. I got a Kick out of the Charles Mosley article where he pretty much dismissed UT even legitimately being in it. He also put a video out after the opening naming the top 5 2014 qbs with the most upside. Of course he had VU commit Carta-Samuels at no. 1 lol.

BS is one of those guys that's probably never played a down of football in his life (except for NCAA and Madden) yet he's a world renowned talent evaluator.

He writes articles for a living and blows smoke up Franklin's azz. Don't even bother wasting your time reading that guy's scouting reports.

He thinks Hurd will be a bust... "He's too damn tall".... But ohhhh hot damn Mike Sawyers has Warren Sapp written all over him lol #butchplease

Haha exactly. If Hurd was committed to VU he would be the next Eric Dickerson but since he's all Vol he thinks he's a bust. What a douche.

Everywhere i go, i live in knoxville so i’m the local guy, the local commit so people know who i am and things like that. It’s pretty awesome and humbling too. I’m just blessed that i’ve been able to work this hard to make it to this point.”

“i tell [butch jones] that i’m the main recruiter not him,” he said. “i’ve created a twitter page, @utlegendclass and i tweet from my account @toddkellyjr6 all the time, tweeting at recruits and stuff like that because nowadays, social media helps a lot.

“they’re always asking for shout outs and stuff like that so i do whatever i can to show the players love and tennessee’s fanbase is huge. Everybody knows how big the stadium is and it’s always full. It’s just a joy to help out however i can.”

“i’ve been on him like crazy,” kelly said of mosley. “he says it’s between alabama and tennessee. I’m trying to sell him on the in-state thing because they love in-state players over there. I told him i would take him out for all you can eat ribs if he commits. So with a big kid like that, that will definitely persuade him.”

About a month ago he went on Nashville Sports talk and said he thought the Vols will probably finish with a top 15class. He is an uber douche. He and Jimmy Frank must do the no pants dance together.
