"I just went for the scrimmage and it was good. I got to go with a few of my friends and there were some guys there that play football around this area," Barnett said. "I got to watch them scrimmage and I got to be around coach Spencer, their d-line coach, to get a better feel of what they're talking about and see how they are playing."
"Coach Franklin, he seems like a good coach and he's changed that program around," Barnett said. "They were my first big offer and they've been recruiting me ever since they've offered me."
"They're recruiting me the hardest out of any school and they're the state school," Barnett said of Tennessee. "They need a lot of help at defensive line. I think all their coaches are recruiting me, it's not just one, it feels like everyone. They show me how much they want me and I appreciate that a lot."
"I don't want a coach that is going to tell me I'm going to start. I just want a coach that will tell me I have an opportunity and they've told me that and they're not planning to redshirt me at all and that's what I like to hear," Barnett said. "That means a lot, that means that I can go in and make plays when I get there and that stands out to me."
"I'm just not 100 percent sure. When I commit I'm going to be 100 percent committed. I'm not going to change my decision so right now I'm not ready to make my decision. I want to enjoy it right now," Barnett said. "I think I would make it after the season, but honestly, it could be in a couple of weeks or in a month, just whenever I feel like it's the right time I'm going to do it.".
