Another prospect that was tough to reach Sunday after his official visit was Derek Barnett. Barnett was quiet after his official visit this weekend and don't be surprised if Barnett took another visit next weekend.

All indications were that is official visit to Tennessee went very well, but it seems as though the Vols are going to have to continue to fight here for Barnett as Missouri isn't the only school to come after him. Ole Miss is pushing hard for a visit and there are other schools out there that are trying to get several Nashville prospects on campus next weekend.

Butch Jones also has his in-home visit left with Barnett this week and that looks likely to be midweek at some point.

Not worried. Butch with an in home on the heels of a visit should seal the deal. Hubbs and P Fort drumming up suspense because there is probably not going to be much other than Scott's committment tomorrow and Cory Thomas.

Well, generally Hubbs and P Fort don't have to. Even under Fulmer, Tennessee was known to finish strong. This is a first since Hubbs opened his site. We have never had a full class , most of which seeming to be solid going into NSD. It is Hubbs source of income, so he is going to make things a little more exciting than they may actually be.

Frankinvol on VQ said last night that mom is all-in with UT, and 6 months ago that was the reason Derek had not already committed to us. As long as Ole Mi$$ isn't the one that rolls into town and gets the last visit, then I don't think there is a reason to be worried.

Maybe its just me. But I think we should let him go and just spend our energy on adoree. We have enough DEs already and we have to let go of one player to make the numbers

What DE's? 3 of the 4 committed are looking around and taking other visits. And its probably the weakest position on the entire returning roster for next year.

Seriously?? First of all, he's a DT all the way, and we need as many of those as we can get. 2nd of all, Cory Thomas is all but gone. Third, his mom is all Vol now, after it took some time for the staff to get her fully on board. Lastly, he's a top in-state talent with a buttload of his friends going to Knoxville to play for our Vols. You don't just let someone like this go.
