All those schools still redshirt a lot of players.
I think Barnett and Hendrix demonstrate that the previous talent at end was lacking. I think the D is more effective if you can rotate Maggitt and Vereen on one side, keeping a fresh pass rush all game. And then have the luxury of working Barnett and Hendrix in with another. They need one of the returning players to step up. Vickers, Miller, Lewis. Those guys need to start showing something, or they gonna get passed up.

I understand. My point was that it is more appealing to red shirt at alabubba right now than it is to do the same here IMO. Once we start winning I think highly thought of players won't mind sitting for a year or two behind other highly thought of players.

Agree with this. Talent all over the field has been lacking. Barnett, Hendrix and this class are difference makers and it will be quite visible as the year progresses.

If you add in Tuttle and KMack along with all the new depth next year at End.. And our D-Line situation looks like a real strength for us.

When was the last time we could say that?

Vol-in-tears is a huge and rather obvious troll.

Well how do you like me now? My story was true and Barnett is a vol! As many posters know I'm a UT grad and have some old football friends. Check out my previous posts and read between the lines. I speak highly of Bubba Miller and Scott Wells because we played for the same high school... Which is wher Barnett played. Go Vols baby!!

Hahaha

Barnett is an absolute beast. No way they can keep him off the field. At one time during practice he was having sack after sack and Butch stopped practice and yelled " is anybody on the offensive line going to stop him today" Butch's language got a little colorful

Please please please let that mean that Barnett is great not that the tackles and tightends cannot block.

Yea the latter scares me but I do think Barnett is going to be a household name by the time he leaves here. I wonder if this was when Kerbyson was out of practice.

I blame Obama, Ronald Reagan, the War on Drugs, and the Monroe Doctrine.

... And Jimmy Carter.

It's like I've been telling people for years, if Andrew "Old Hickory" Jackson was still President we would not be in the shape we're in today. It was all downhill after he left office.

Kept those dang Indians in their place!...now they own all the 7-11s! :ermm:

Did you ever see him in person?

:)

What a ridiculous statement. It's common knowledge that no one ever met Andrew Jackson "in person" and lived to tell the tale. It made campaigning for president an absolute pain-in-the-butt. However, typically any run he made for president was practically over after his first "debate" with the opposition.

He'd kill a dude in a duel over abortion. :eek:hmy:
