Were any of them highly rated recruits?

B. Brandenburg definitely was and filled a huge position of need at Vanderbilt (tight end). The rest were backups. They still provided quality depth.

Overall, that's a blow to their program.

Fingers crossed that Ole Miss waxes them in the first week and sends them into a tailspin.

@VinceSports: JC Shurburtt from @247Sports on Top247 defensive line targets Derek Barnett & Charles Mosley: "Tennessee's my pick to land both." #Vols #SEC

Excellent. Can't wait to have their commitments in hand, hopefully by the end of the month.

We land those two and Lambert and this is an excellent class. All of the rest (including the Berry brothers) will be gravy.

That last sentence times about 9000

Yea that would be great, but I'm not a fan of Ole Miss either. I knew most of them were freshman, just not if they were any good. Tough situation for JF, I bet he's crying like a little school girl.

So in other words 'Perception is not reality' with are program when it comes to index1 crimes. But perception is reality when it comes to UTs APR. Nevermind Butch Jones excellent past records with other schools, or the marked improvement academically the first semester he has been head coach. Franklin's a phony goof that will bolt Vandy soon as the time is right.

I've never understood this last line. Saying Franklin will jump ship when a better job comes is just confirming/feeding the belief that he's a good coach. So many on here point out that he's never beaten a .500+ team as proof he's overrated then say he won't stick around as soon as the time is right.

I personally believe the guy is a class A prick, a slightly above average coach and a great recruiter/salesman. Id just assume he stay at Vandy forever so I can get enjoyment out of beating him.

Isn't it vandenburg or something like that? The te everyone here wanted over Quinn..

I hate the situation for the young lady involved, and even for the young men on some level. Hope all involved can get past what appears to be a very bad event and go on the lead productive lives.

My hope is that Franklin and Vandy mishandled something along the way, weren't forthright or something and it taints the hell out of the program. Sorry, just being honest. That jackass needs to be brought down a peg or 2 ....

If he's so great why did MD pass him over when he was the heir apparent?

Well said.... I don't want the prick going anywhere til he gets the azz whuppin that's coming to him.... and believe me, it's coming ....

Depends how you look at it. What if what's best for her son is for him to be happy and enjoy his years in college. Sounds like Tennessee with some of his friends and our recruiting class would be right for him. Who knows what it means. Leave it to you to look at it in a negative light. How about we let it play out and don't mark him off the list before he has said a word about it? Oh yea, that would be using logic which you seem to throw out the window when you log on VN daily to spew your negativity.

Yea I don't know what happened to him. He used to come on here saying he had sources on the team and made predictions of guys he thought we were going to get (Derrick Henry) which never came true, but he seemed like a happy go lucky guy back then at least. And that was back when we were recruiting at a much lower level and now when we are tearing it up in recruiting all I see him do is complain about the same damn thing over and over in every thread. I don't know if it's just because he wants attention or what but that's what it seems like. He tried to get it at first by acting like he knew a bunch of players and they told him who we were going to get and once that fell through he had to resort to being the controversial guy. JMO
