Randall Cobb 2.0

Very well might be.

Only difference is we seem to have a libel on guys who are and will produce. Cobb sticks out A LOT bc of all the recruiting misses by the staff around that time.

I think Rollins is explosive and could produce for us but if we don't make offer I can definitely see why.

Me too, was just bringing him up cause, knowing our luck with local boys, if they come here they'll be avg, if they go elsewhere it's all sec. Recruiting really is a gamble and a crapshoot sometimes. All the other sec teams of note passed on Cobb too so those pointing out his offer list seem irrelevant considering....

Thing is with this kid we'll have an equal level athlete coming in. Evan Berry is better if he were to be used on offense. This kid is nice but there are certain things that you can see he lacks for kid his size. Now do I want him in this class? If we have the space no doubt. But I really want more defensive players. :)

Would u trade him for any of our current commits?

Tonight against Christian County HS (KY), Rollins-Davis had 23 carries for 289 yards & 5 TDs along with 1 reception for 44 yards

THere was a prospect back in the day that was just like Rollins. His name was Ricky Roper and he played for Riverdale. Roper started for four years on his high school team and was All-State for 3 years running. I played against him in junior high and he ran rampant on us. However, when we arrived for practice in college, he was just another quick fast guy, but quite a bit smaller. Ricky never made it to the first week of practice. I am not saying that Rollins won;t but what I am saying is that in college, there will be guys coming in with a similar skill set and have several pounds more weight on them and even have more wiggle in their gait.

Is he truly 160? If he were 180 I wouldn't see much diff in him and derell Scott

Flexibility, body control, elusiveness, ability to make defenders miss

All the things that separate Scott from Rollins - from my amateur perspective

JMO from watching HUDL highlights

How does this kid compare to Randall Cobb coming out of high school? They seem to be similar players.

They are completely different to me. Cobb has a slick type of game.

I think he is more of a returner and situational type... When you are that small you have to be crazy elusive, or a tackle breaking machine so IDK... Good luck to him though.

Spots are too valuable, and we need more of a true RB than situational guy.
