Very similar to Foreman's size and speed. Needs an offer. Carlos said there are several future D1 guys on the Fulton roster. Granted they are spread across several classes.

A bunch of local prospects are expected to attend spring practice so maybe we will see an offer for Rollins he may be small for a RB but he is perfect size for a corner and has elite level speed. Give me Evan Berry, Isiah Mccdaniel and Daryl Rollins at corner and I'm happy.

The 2014 Dennis Rogan.. An Early Ut would be more effective than a late January 14' offer..

I think he is considerably better than Rogan.

Really? I don't know if I'd say that. I got to see mr rogan play up close and personal tho.. I know some Fulton coaches and families pretty well, I'll do some digging.

Not sure about this at all. Rogan was filthy in HS, as is this young lad. But they're not the same. Rogan had better hips and was a bit shiftier. Rolyns has better straight line speed at this point in their careers. His 4.41 laser time is mind boggling, this kid could be scary fast after about 2-3 years in a D-1 strength program.

He's on Rogan's level, but not the same. Rollins is gonna play safety this coming season as of now. But I...like you...saw Rogan quite a bit. He was a stud. Rollins is a stud and IMO on that Rogan level. It helps that he gets to run behind Cooperwood. When they toss sweep left, it's hard for them to not get 15-20 yards. If not take it to the house. Cooperwood was mauling people when I watched them.

Cooperwood, Rollins and Hawkins are worthy of offers IMO. If UT offers Blaise Taylor then they have GOT to like Rollins and Hawkins both are better players IMO. And Cooperwood has a ways to go but who don't at the HS level, he has improved a TON and had a really good season. He is as good I would think as ANY linemen they've offered, he has big time potential surely the caches can see that. I know FSU, LSU and Vanderbilt communicate a lot with Coop. UT not so much...

Played pop-warner ball with Dennis. We had two plays--47 toss right and 47 toss left.

I'm sure you could guess his jersey number...

Was watching dude do back flips in the gym all day long in middle school.

I hate Vanderbilt..............................

Sorry about that. That was a fine, informative post with a lot of good information on a couple of promising recruits. I was good til I saw Vanderbilt at the end. My apologies for losing focus.

John Chavis has personally came to see Cooperwood twice. As of now he really needs to get more aggressive. I had heard that on here, but someone close to the situation told me that as well. Said he just goes out and plays, really laid back, doesn't get real fired up. Needs more "attitude". But Chavis coming to see him makes me wonder. He must see him as a DT. Makes me wonder if everyone else (me included) has been looking at him at the wrong position (LT). Chavis knows what he's doing.

They're (LSU) recruiting him as an OL, Chavis is the coach who recruits East Tenn for LSU that's the reason he travels up instead of the OL coach.

I've been wanting to ask If anybody besides me wanted to offer this guy, great speed. Another year of highschool will do him wonders. He could turn out to be a nice prospect

I will say this. I saw both Devrin Young and Dennis Rogan play, and comparing their junior seasons IMO Daryl Rollins is slightly a better RB. He is the best downhill runner I've ever seen in the Knoxville area. I think an offer will happen. Might not play RB, if he chooses to attend UT. But UT can not ignore this guy, his raw speed is incredible.

Yeah he will start for a big time school when it's said and done

Article from last month talking about Rollins' outstanding combine performance in Atlanta:

Imagine what Daryl Rollins would have done without stiff legs.

Rollins, a 5-foot-9, 165-pound junior running back from Fulton High School, rode in a car for some three hours last Saturday to Atlanta for a Nike SPARQ Combine.

After a 20-minute warm-up session in near-freezing temperatures, Rollins ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds at Lakewood Stadium. That mark proved to be the lowest of the event among more than 1,700 competitors.

He later added a 4.00 shuttle time (also the lowest in the event), a 35.3-inch vertical leap and a powerball throw of 32.5 feet to be the top-ranked performer (111.21 SPARQ rating) at the combine.

I hope we're giving Rollins a serious look-see.

Rollins received an offer from Austin Peay today. His teammates Xavier Hawkins and Michael Scates did as well.
