:( I don't want "Dormady to" anybody. I really think he could be a great QB, and would love to see him come in as an EE and get some action this spring. He could really push Dobbs his Sophomore year. And we definitely need the depth.

I agree. if they don't like waiting their turn then beat the other guy out. Barnett put on beast mode. The guys are freshmen and will be used a lot next yr on, if they put in the work. Could be entitlement mentality

It all depends on what they've been told up to this point. If they've been told they are the only two and now Jones chases another one, he may lose some credibility and a commit.

Also, it sends somewhat of a bad message to the guys willing to commit early and commit to EE if the coach changes the plan on a commit so late in the process. Seems to penalize the EE's some.

I'm not sure this is a good move my Coach Jones.

Is this guy an EE?

After seeing what a running QB can do in this offense. This kid is a take if we can get him. But Dormandy is a good QB as well. Maybe bring in all three Jennings, Dormandy, and Jones. And one will most likely transfer out this time next year.

I see your point. Things change tho and if it were me I'd be up front with the kids and say hey competing is a good thing not to mention one of you will have a great shot at being the backup as a freshman.

How would you have responded if Tenn didn't go after this guy and all the sudden Dormady or Jennings came out and said they are going to do some more shopping around and visit a couple more schools?

It's a trust and integrity issue. Coaches and many fans blast recruits for decommitting and changing their minds. Doesn't that go both ways?

Happens all the time. That's recruiting in modern football. To me it comes down to do I want Dooleys classes or Jones classes. You can't just shut it down anymore and the injuries and ineffectiveness we've had at qb recently I don't blame Jones one bit.

Let me answer this for you with facts.

Hurd is the fastest player on the entire team. This is per Coach Jones (he said it on the Coach Jones show and it was also mentioned by a broadcaster during the OU game). They hooked up all the players to GPS, which eliminates hand timed errors. Hurd was the fastest player. This is a fact.

I can't explain why he never busted a long run or why he got caught.

Thinking maybe the staff got news regarding a possible transfer with Nate or they are encouraging him to look elsewhere for more playing time?

Regardless, we have no QB depth. With Dobbs running the ball as much as he does, we need some legit QBs.

What does this have to do with Dooley? Changing the program on a kid right before he moves onto campus is in bad taste. I wonder if there is something going on with the commits that we don't know. I think Jones and our Bajakian visited Dormady last week or so. Winner of they have him a heads up.

Also, just because it happens all the time doesn't make it right.

Makes zero sense to me. If you lose a guy like NP and feel you need to add a body to the roster, you replace him with a Juco QB, not a 3rd HS guy. JMO
