The fact that same people call getting the best possible class shady is hilarious. I guess we should just take all the Tennessee kids and hope it works out. Nick saban replaces kids over signs and does everything else. I want Tennessee to win national championships. I give two crap about 18 year old kids feelings or your "word". I want the best talent period. Thank god butch feels the same way.

It makes a lot of sense. Try telling a Juco "hey, we've got this great QB who can do great things with his legs and is super smart. You get to play behind him the 2 years you're here!"

A HS guy makes more sense. Let him redshirt, learn, grow. If he transfers, it's because he wasn't good enough to see the field. No loss there.

Btw, not trying to dog you Lv. I guess we just see it different.

It is a big deal because there are academic consequences. That being said, I have the utmost confidence that the staff is taking these contingencies into consideration.

I feel the same way. Why not want the best of both worlds? JJ is not that much better of a runner than Jones.

I'm all for this guy.. seems like the total package. . A true dual threat. . Bring him in, and let it work itself out. Strongest survive, all else can transfer. .

Yes you are. LV knows much more than Butch and the staff. According to LV if Butch accepts a commitment then by no means is that player supposed to be recruited over. Even if Butch and company thinks another player is better suited for the team.

I will give you one thing, Leb, you speculate on many things that you have no idea about. Riley Ferguson would probably have played last year instead of Dobbs if he wasn't hurt and was given an opportunity to start back in the spring. It is a message board, and I guess you can discuss what you want. But I think some of this is borderline irresponsible and certainly unfounded. It really isn't fair, but no one can stop it.

No kidding. Fergy would be at a real football program fighting for a starting job if he didnt have the fortitude of a toddler. Its not Butch's fault.

Was this before or after our staff told Torrance Gibson that he was "the only quarterback" we were recruiting because we saved a QB scholarship from our last class specifically for him?" What about that time when Coach Jones told Deondre Francois that he was "the best quarterback for the program in the 2015 class?"

I don't know, Leb. Call me crazy, but maybe kids shouldn't put too much stock in what our coaches tell them.

Yes, and I'll say this. I'm no expert on mechanics, but most DT QBs have very flat feet in the pocket. His footwork looks very sound and he's always setting his feet then throwing off of his front foot. He looks very polished and well coached.

Just caught some of his Jr film and the kid can make all the throws and he is plenty athletic. Pretty sure his school runs some kind of read option so he's probably somewhat familiar with the offense we run. He looks like a take IMO.

Nathan Cottrell looks great on video. He won't get a UT offer. I'll take Coach Jones scouting ability over your ability to review a few highlight videos. If he knows Peterman is leaving, that's your answer.

I 100% guarantee Jones is better than Peterman. Khalil McKenzie is a better QB than Peterman.
