Ehh, I was pretty much alone early on. Maybe the 1st 1,000 posts I made in the thread it was me against the world. :) As time went on, more and more realized ole LV may not be as crazy as some thought.

The day I said UT needs to take QD(before he was offered) and forget about TG was some priceless discussion. :birgits_giggle:

IMO you take Jones this class because there isnt a 100% Guarantee JJ is going to work out at QB. Plus you have NP probably going to transfer. In that case you would look at Juco or a senior transfer but there is noone at this moment even worth mentioning unless you talk about Braxton Miller but he already has his eyes set on either Oregon or Arkansas.. I like this move. I hope Jones commits. I am eager to see how this one plays out.

Yeah, I am glad Hart took my advice and stuck around the 3.25 I suggested. That 3.5-4 million others were OK with would have been another bad move.

As for your 4 year old, if he thinks CBJ and his shady recruiting tactics need to stop, I'm glad he is letting you know it. True Vol fan right there. You go young'n, don't let them quiet your voice!

I think we end up taking two, and I think it's jennings and jones. We all know Jennings can play safety so if we have those two we still get use out of those two. If we take any combo with dormady and dormady gets beat out in the battle he will be nothing more than a back up. I say take the two we can get use out of.

Disagree with you here, Leb. Jones is another top QB. We've had two seasons without a stable QB. Doesn't bother me that we're bring in three highly rated QB's.

It's funny that you upset so many posters with your opinion. Lol.

My issue is not the QB. My issue is it being the 3rd QB and the current committed guys were told a 3rd QB would not be taken. Of course most fans are cool with it. They don't care for these players at all, unless they are a star. You will note the same ones cool with these type of tactics and the same ones who are 100% fine with dropping as many current players as you can to take as many unknown signees as you can.

I actually respect a kid who decides to be a Vol. I view them as a part of the "family" CBJ preaches. Maybe that is my mistake, I actually care what happens to them. I hate following a recruit, celebrating him being a Vol, then can just drop them like a bad habit. Other fans can do it, I'm just not wired that way.

I don't mind folks get fired up with my opinions. It's kind of a regular thing on here. :)

You were in pretty much early, but if you reread the thread, Mockingvol did much of the early heavy lifting...I didn't really weigh in until TG started his Twitter nonsense...where he started counting down the days to an important announcement...and then revealed which all-star game he was going to play in...I didn't (and still don't) think he was "garbage"... He has a ton of athletic talent...he just didn't strike me as a face of the program QB for us.

Also if you "lose" Peterman then you need another QB and you don't turn this guy down. He is well spoken and seems like a nice fit. Reel him in CBJ

Pages 32-34 on this thread, most convinced that Butch has lied and needs to be taught a lesson. It's about doing the right thing, and Butch is wrong. No new information on the table.

One person bases an opinion on nothing but speculation and it begins to sweep across the board with a mind of its own lol

Ya know if CBJ made smarter decisions in these type of situations, maybe that 3.5 a year would have made sense. Hopefully he gets it together. :zeitung_lesen:

Yeah, I'm not speculating anything. IMO the man should not have made the in home visit. I don't care if Jones commits or not, CBJ was already wrong IMO. No speculation at all. It's my opinion.

Of course IF QD & JJ bail, Peterman transfers, and UT ends up with just Jones at QB, the fan fallout will be hilarious.
