Or they all stay because Butch was honest about this whole thing and we have 4 good QBs. We don't know what Butch said to anyone.

Is there a recruiting rule that says: "Thou shall not talk to other QB recruits nor visit them in their home if thou already have two committed QB recruits for the current recruiting class."? Butch can talk or visit whomever he wants. If the other two guys don't like it they can give him a call and they can discuss the situation. What would happen if all the sudden a TX team suddenly came on strong for Dormady and he bolted leaving us with only Dobbs and a true freshman? Butch is doing what we pay him and are giving him a raise to do. He is supposed to get the plays and build the depth we need to compete in the toughest conference in CFB. If you want to blame someone blame Riley Ferguson for bolting. He was supposed to help us build depth and compete for the starting job next year. Now we are in a pickle and Butch is being a head football coach.

Sorry for the rant but it gets old reading the same posts over and over again. Glich out. Later Rednecks! :p

We may not accept Jones commitment if he wants to come to UT. Also, Jones may be a dang good cb or long snapper. We don't know much of anything at this point. All pure speculation.

Did Coach Jones actually go visit this young man? I have not seen any clear report that he did. Oh well, that's why he makes the big bucks.

I disagree with a lot of what Leb says, but he actually has some positive contributions once in a while. He follows recruiting very closely, and tried to keep track of the numbers (obsessively, one might add). I think that he either is a bit full of himself, or plays his schtick very well. But that isn't grounds for such an acerbic reaction.

I'm all for mocking posters when they get out of line (Fade Route, Nation, come on down). But this is a bit much.

For a team choosing between three of the best QB's in the country there sure is a lot of butching and moaning going on..

Sounds like a good problem to have IMO.

Agreed. Though it does suck to be in a position where you have to use three spots in a tight class on one position. Especially when you can rest assured that at least one will end up transferring, and depending on how things shake out, two could wind up doing so.

We are fortunate to have this talent wanting us, and unfortunate to need to attract this much talent at one position.

Yep. I'm sure that explains why his grades weren't good enough to get into UNC CHARLOTTE. Its because Butch traumatized him by signing Dobbs.

All I hear is blah blah blah from everyone when at the end of the day Sheriron Jones is the better QB of the three. Hell of an arm, accuracy, and has wheels. Fits this offense to a T, pun I tended.

Dormady has an arm, but is not as athletic as the two.

Jennings is a better runner/scrambler than both.

Jones can do both very well.

/rant.

Came in here to find out what was going on and after reading the last 5 pages I'm going to do a recap for those not interested in reading everything I did. Lebanon Volunteer has posted 87% of the posts beating his poor ole dead horse as he always does. I found out Dobbs is slow and Hurd is even slower than him and both should basically be walk ons. NP has transferred but still on school property. Many posters are mad bc we are recruiting very well and trying to fill spots with top talent kids. Malone is 18 years old and should have already been inducted into the college football hall of fame but he hasn't bc he's pitiful. LV has put down the calculator for a minute to express to everyone how CBJ is dishonest and has lied to everyone including his wife about everything to do with this recruiting class and he has mentioned this around 64 times. I hope this helps some and GO VOLS!!!
