At this point, the coaches can only starting trading up and culling like the recruits are fish. Since that is the case, I suppose it's time for the recruits to reopen their recruiting and see if they can get a better offer from a better than mediocre team. Correct?

Also, Ferguson transferring was just business, right? No one here has as problem with that?

You are dead wrong. I called a guy out that was putting out partial information and claiming he had a personal connection as his wife was Jenning's tutor. This could have perpetuated a rumor that a couple people on another board had floated that Jennings didn't EE because he had grade issues and may not even qualify.

When I mentioned the rumors, someone else said they had never heard or seen anything about Jennings had grade issues. I said I had, meaning I had seen the rumors.

I don't think it is a good idea for people, especially a kid's tutor's husband, to be posting such information about a recruit. The info was deleted after I called him in it.

I want the best player to play whether is be Dobbs, Jennings or Dormady. I think going after Jones at this late date is low class and I thought Coach Jones was above those tactics.

Since it was Sheriron that contacted Butch first, what do you think Butch should have said? "No son, I'm sorry. You had your chance to be a Vol and you didn't take it. I have given my word to QD and JJ that they are the only qbs we will sign. Good luck to you." Is that what you wanted? Those words are spoken by a coach to a quality player NEVER.

I believe she was tutoring him to help him ee, not because he had issues.

How quickly people want to forget that Butch was going to pass on a blue chip prospect like Kirkland because he had Cherry in the fold. That's loyalty. Cherry paved his own way out.

Why can't we give Butch the benefit of the doubt until we know more in this situation? Nobody knows the truth. Let it play out before you play the immoral card on OUR coach.

Gotcha. I remember people talking about how the D was very vanilla in the O&W game until Fergie came in. That's when they blitzed. Almost proving a point to him that he needed to be doing more to become the starter as he had been doing little to nothing. Not long after that, he quit.

No matter how times it's said, some self-righteous poster will inevitably start a brushfire and get the natives restless. It's just crazy.

Two important things to remember for the moral hand-wringers:

1. You don't know the big picture. Fans only see and hear a fraction of the story. This can't be overstated.

2. You're making up stories based on limited information to support your theories. Discussing potential scenarios on a message board is awesome. That's why we're all here. Labeling a coach as immoral or a lier is not ok. You don't have nearly enough information to make that call.
