'15 CA QB Sheriron Jones (UT Signee 2/4/15)

You don't know what others KNOW and you definitely don't know what you don't know. You think what you see in the media, on the forums, twitter and such is the gospel truth. You also think "insiders" like Callahan are disseminating nothing but factual information. You need to understand, most of what you see has been filtered and spun for public release, even when it is under the guise of "insider" info. Of course the recruits are going to say publicly they support what the coach is doing. Their comments are also usually filtered and measured when it comes to such as this.

Some of you need to get over yourselves.

Lol...of course...none of us know a thing...

One may end up 'transferring' to a position on the other side of the ball..... ;)

True as well. But I may also end up being the best qb in the group. So that'll all be determined on the field, whoever doesn't think they'll see the field is welcome to transfer.

But I agree that it probably won't be Jennings who transfers, because even if he can't win the spot at qb, he's a hell of a safety.

True, but even if JJ moves to safety, one of the others likely leaves.

Agreed. But it's basic law of averages issue to me. The more top rated qbs you take, the more likely one of them turns out to be special.

I honestly see no harm with taking 3.

Cool so your saying next time believe the guy with the screen name UTFootballFan which typically equals obvious troll name of opposing fanbase but tell the guys close to the program they have no freaking clue... Yeah ok chief

If that is what you are referring to, I am fairly sure that Leb didn't know a thing and even said as much. He said it was his opinion only, with nothing to support it. But still threw out accusations of being deceitful and dishonest and getting what we deserve. I am pretty sure there are VERY few of us who are privy to what Butch Jones tells his commits in a conversation. But keep on keeping on.

I do agree with two points I believe Leb made (as I duck for cover), having 3 QB commits (if they all sign) in this class could impact Kendall's recruitment and likely leads to at least one of the commits transferring down the line. Nevertheless, bring em in as the competition will make us a better team.

I swear only TN fans worry every time a big-time player commits how it "might" affect other big-time players who are committed or who will transfer because of it, etc... It's almost like they are afraid or don't want to re-build the roster to championship caliber.

No he was right there with LV talking how dirty and shady CBJ was for lying to the QBs. UTfan was even more annoying than LV about it...stating stuff as fact and absolutes.

Island Living might be just what the doctor ordered for ol' LebVol.

Of course they might always ship him back to the mainland...

I agree. Warriors will push out the weakest link. Even tho stars look good, not every player that has them live up to them

Exactly. I sometimes read other recruiting boards and I very rarely see this chicken little BS that is so very common on here.

Or a coaching spot opens....... I love most of our fans but we have a very fragile fanbase after the Kiffin debacle and the Dooley dumpster fire. We were once very entitled after having so much success during the Fulmer years.

I agree. I believe these fans really prefer mediocrity because it is less stressful.

Butch is pouring everything into UT right now and he seems determined to win a Championship.

As I said, bring them in as it will make us a better team. We just shouldn't be shocked to see some fallout down the road - not a bad thing, and not unusual, just something that likely could happen.

Will we be as quick to upgrade the assistant coaching positions like we have the players' positions?

Best staff in the country. Haven't you heard?

Seriously though I think the continuity is a really good thing for our program after the staff turnover we've had in the past.

It shouldn't be considered "fallout" though IMO. It just comes with the territory when recruiting at an elite level. Nothing at all wrong with a mutual parting of ways. I guarantee this staff will handle it the right way and help find whoever it is a landing spot. It isn't like they are just turning their back on a kid and leaving him out to dry. Jmo...
