I just love reading this - his relentless motor, something you can't really teach, combined with excellent quickness. Butcher went so hard in Monday's shells-only practice

Great point that I think goes unnoticed a lot. Seems like a leader both vocally and by example. Leaders seem to be able to get the most out of people around them.

Next J.J. Watt...hopefully!

What are the similarities with JJ Watt, besides them both being white dudes who can rush the passer?

Are you just wanting to argue or are you serious?

Both are athletic, high motor guys and similar in size at this point in their careers.

I said I hope he turns into the next JJ Watt...

It was a serious question actually. Unless he grows a couple more inches, they won't be the same size. "Athletic" and "High Motor" are true of most NFL DE's. Just wondering why you chose JJ Watt.

He's likely to do just that since he's a junior in high school.

Just curious why you chose to make a mountain out of a mole hill?

I said I hope he ends up being the next J.J. Watt and you wanted to try and pick it apart because he's an inch shorter?? Smdh

Andrew Butcher is quickly becoming an all time fan favorite and it will be over a year before he enrolls.

I hear people throwing out the Watt comparisons, but if I was forced to make a comparison of this kid to an NFL player, I'd say Kyle Vanden Bosch. He didn't have necessarily have elite measurables, but the guy was a football player with a relentless motor.

Of course, Butcher is still a young guy and will make his own legacy (plus I'm only drawing from highlight videos/evaluations I've read). But, I think butcher will be big for us because of his motor and near-elite measurables. I hope he can EE. If he can, he could find himself contributing and taking on a Corey Vereen-esque role as a true freshman.
