Butcher is going to be a monster in the hands of Stripling. Stripling is one of the best dline coaches in the country.

He won't be a 5 star. Recruiting sites are way to stubborn to bump a guy that much that they initially start so low. They are stubborn and don't want to admit they get it wrong sometimes. At least this is generally how they handle it.

I believe you are correct, although Trenton Thompson may have been ahead of him. I think he's the best DE prospect in the state, no doubt, IMO. He proved it in the Junior Elite Classic. From what I have seen of him, I think he should be a top 5 DE in the nation. Remember, Ritzmann said he is ahead of where Lawson was at this stage in his development. Lawson was a 5 star talent. It will be a disservice to AB if he doesn't end up a 5 star IMO. All that I care about is he will be wearing the big orange with the power T!

One other thing and this is meant with no disrespect. If Lorenzo Carter is a 5 star, then how is Butcher not? I know LC lost that star towards end of the cycle, but he was still ranked higher than Butcher and was a 5 star for a long time.

Lots of things don't make sense in regards to recruiting services. Remember, their #1 goal is to sell subscriptions. That's it.

Anything to bump up articles, or headlines, or get a large fan base excited, is all in an effort to increase subscriptions.

Butcher doesn't have the natural ability of Lawson. He'll be amazing, but Lawson has body and speed naturally. Butcher is elite though, and high 4* should be his floor.
