'15 DE GA Andrew Butcher (UT Commit 6/8/13)

Good Lord, guys. I beg of you, read. Please. Keywords ON THEIR RESPECTIVE LEVELS.

Does anyone remember that article around the time of last year's HS all-star games about Butcher going so hard in practice that he busted his nose up? THAT'S what reminds me of Watt. Absolutely relentless want-to.

Seriously... Come on. Although I'm not surprised what I said was taken wildly out of context

Our DL is going to be just plain nasty in the near future. I can't wait to watch our defense to be a dominate force in every game.

Seems like good run stopper as well. Need a few of those DEs on your team who are just a ball of muscle and effort who never quit on any play.

Stopped reading @ JJ Watt lol.

No really I didn't catch that part the first time, but it DOES stand out more in all caps.

LOL. His game, frame, style, etc is absolutely nothing like Watt.

I disagree. Very relentless, high motor, uses his hands very violently. Not to mention they share the same pigmentation lol jk guys just a joke. I think Barnett is similar in the high motor dept but Barnett has about twenty five pounds on butcher.

Barnett and Butcher. That's going to be a really nice set of bookends for McKenzie and Tuttle.

I would be really scared for opposing offenses.......except I hate them all and don't really care.

Go 2015/16/17 Vols!!!

People just don't like the comparison because they are completely different physically. Watt is a massive 3-4 DE who can play some DT as well. Butcher is an average or slightly below average sized weak side DE in a 4-3 defense.

Watt is much heavier than Barnett and Butcher

Don't forget about Hendrix. He needed a little more time than Barnett to develop but a lot of people close to the program think he could end up being an absolute beast as well. I'm excited to see what he looks like next year. Watch out when he and Barnett are both in their 2nd and especially 3rd year, have had time to develop, get stronger, and acclimate themselves to the SEC. That is going to be a hell of a duo and especially lined up on the outside of a rotation of McKenzie, Tuttle, Picou, and Sawyers (hopefully) or Mosley.

Everything changed when the Jimmies and Joes started arriving. Doesn't matter what system you run when you have guys like Andrew playing beside Khalil, Shy, Quay, Barnett, Hendrix, etc. Same on O - when you get the right triggerman for the system, some quality skill guys, and the O-line can hit the right guys - you are going to score enough points to win.

Really looking forward to Andrew getting here. Bright future.

Good point. In two years we will have a great line and great depth on that line.

Going to be churning out dlineman like candy on Halloween here soon.....our defense is going to be nasty

We should be able to start having some nice rotations to keep guys fresh at least at DE.

DT depth seems to be taking some hits with Robertson/Mosely to OL and Sawyers being a baby
