I think Vols get him if FSU doesn't offer at WR. Noles top target John Burt is leaning Texas ATP so that could shake things up with Cain.

Cain is my personal favorite of all the Fl wides this cycle. If Campbell had his hands and aggression he would be #1 player in nation. Thing teams have to worry about with Cain is last minute Nole offer. Happen with Kelly(OL) and Harrison(ATH) on nsd both signed with FSU.

Why would they wait, though? Just because they can?

Somewhat. Noles have offered as an Ath. He could end up at Wr there but they won't take Cain this early with Burt, Philips and a few others still higher on board.

Seems like a good kid, humble and down to earth. I like that he mentioned he plans to visit us. I find it hard to believe he makes it out of the state of FL. But that visit could help us. Luckily we seem to be in good position with several top WRs.

Tennessee assistant Zach Azzanni visited Tampa Bay Tech High in Tampa, Florida on Tuesday as he evaluated Top247 wide receiver Deon Cain. Many believe Clemson, Florida and Florida State are the schools to beat for the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Cain.

Top-100 junior wide receiver Deon Cain of Tampa Bay Technical High School in Tampa, Fla., told 247Sports' Luke Stampini on Thursday that he plans to visit Tennessee twice this summer.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Cain — who's ranked the nation's No. 76 overall prospect and No. 9 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite for the 2015 class — said he will visit the Vols during an upcoming bus tour that will take him to several different colleges, and he will return to Tennessee again on his own for a separate visit.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball points to Florida State as the favorite to land Cain, with the Seminoles getting 58 percent of the current predictions, 33 percent going to Florida and 8 percent going to Clemson.

4-star ATH Deon Cain will commit to one of his top 5 (Florida, Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee or LSU) this Friday, according to 247Sports.

Donohue covers recruiting for B/R. According to him, no Noles are to be found, though it's possible he might have meant to say Florida State instead of Florida.
