Dang how is Clemson pulling these ballers out of Florida? They're also thought to be at the top of it with Pellage.

They are probably selling Cain on being the next Watkins.

Definitely expect Cain to Clemson, and it should really help with Mccloud too, but that remains to be seen.

As for Pellage, that name hasn't really come up much at all recently. I don't expect for Clemson to be a factor there at all. We're filled up on the Oline, with Bailey believed to be the only oversign prospect left on the board.

Thanks, it's shaping up very well. Would love to add Mccloud to the fold, and pretty much be done at RB/WR.

Still got some work to do on the Dline (especially DE). We're in the running for some top prospects, but I think the only one you could say we're in the top position for at the moment is Huggins.

Tuttle?

I actually don't think Tuttle was ever that interested in us, for whatever reason. He was probably mentioned more than he should have been, solely due to the legacy factor, but at this point it doesn't appear that will influence his decision whatsoever.

I think we're in the best shape for Huggins, Settle and DJ Jones. I'd put Ferrell and Barnett in that next tier.

Again, probably in the best shape with Huggins, but work left to do with him and obviously all the others. If we could somehow get 2 of the above, I'm not sure we really could have done much better this cycle.

InterestingÂ… I know another school that is in very good position with Settle and DJ Jones.

Yes, we've pretty much had the same Dline board, with a couple of exceptions both ways. It is what made the Sterling Johnson situation even more interesting. I know Tenn feels very good about their chances with both Jones and Settle, and for good reason.

Did CU ever accept Johnson's commitment?

Not Palmer, but I'm pretty sure it was confirmed somewhere in his thread that Dabo did accept it. With the same DL board, it has to make you feel really good about at least one of Settle and Jones.

Clemson here, and I'd watch for Ray Ray McCloud to follow shortly

Ray Ray is going to Fla or FSU. Newberg said Cain wasnt going to FSU months ago. Said last week its uf or fsu for Ray Ray. Also pretty much locks in G Campbell to UF. CU has been viewed as the main treat but with the rumored issue between Cain and Campbell I didnt see them playing together.

Yes, Dabo did in fact accept his offer after evaluating the situation. We are graduating 6 DLinemen this year, in what could perhaps be the best line in the country. Plenty of takes still out there for us. Up to 3 if it's the right people.

I can tell you that Clemson probably feels better about Jones than Settle, at this moment. With so many programs said to be in it with Jones, Clemson sometimes gets lost in the shuffle. I can tell you that they 100% have staying power there, and I don't think they would trade places with anyone else, as of today.

Expect Ray Ray to come down to a FL/Clemson battle. The Cain news can't do anything but help Clemson there, and he'll be returning to campus next month for a visit (and camp, I think). He'll get the full court press, being as he's at the top of our board and a commitment would likely wrap up our offensive recruiting.

Campbell was probably not coming to Clemson regardless of Cain, but I do think that cements it. There's definitely some kind of tension there, if not a full on beef. Wouldn't even be surprised to see Clemson somewhat back off him now, especially if it helps with Ray Ray. At the end of the day, it would be surprising if Campbell doesn't end up at FL.

You worried about DJ Jones having a sis at USCjr and playing w Sawyer? Seems y'all two are the favs with us close behind.

I still think we lead. I think he is very appreciative that our staff was loyal to him even when everyone knew he would not have the grades. We still stuck by his side, continued to stay in contact and recruit him, and helped him get to a JUCO school. In the end, I think his recruitment will come back to this loyalty, and he will repay our staff's loyalty with his commitment.
