This really sucks. I honestly think he will be a better player than Butcher. This really sucks. Some school is going to get a good one.

Corey Bender, recruiting analyst on scout, said Ford's coach is his best friend and was told UT pulled the offer for someone else. I feel we may have burned a bridge to that school in the future

Someone else? What player could suddenly show enough interest this late in the game that would make Butch yank Ford's scholarship?

That could mean that we didn't think he'd qualify, and we want someone else we think will? If that is the case, no bridge burned. I just cannot fathom us thinking we have a bigger fish on the line. Ford is a baller.

The only thing other than grades being an issue, would be space. They may very well have in mind to grayshirt/blueshirt some of the other guys, like Perry and Bruce (or the long-snapper), on top of this and see that we have too many DE's?

If it ends up being Richmond, Butch will eventually be forgiven...I'll admittedly be pissed if this is for Kelly.

Yeah, Ford's tweet makes it sound like it was not his choice:

"Due to circumstances, I am decommitting from the University of Tennessee and opening up my recruitment."

Don't think we're looking so great on this one.

Bender said he hsd zero academic issues. He said Butch told Marques that it was someone else on UT's board.
