Well they don't seem to be a pass for the Vols now. But I guess Butch called you and told you he is not recruiting them. I mean he hasn't recruited any QBs since QDs commitment :eek:lol:

Is he speaking to them? Looks like it. He may have met with Jones. It looks like he at least took Francois's call. IMO he ends up passing on both in the end. I think there is just too much need elsewhere.

They miss on both Phillips and Amadi, maybe there is a "best available" situation where one of these guys is in play. IMO it's not going to happen. I think they would take Phillips, Amadi, Sapp, Martin, another OL guy, Reid or his replacement, and possibly Walker before another QB is considered. IMO, no chance.

Leb my friend you have to relax. If either François or Jones wants to be a Vols they are takes immediately. They are what this offensive system requires. No matter what the time frame is I've told you before they're both better than Jennings and François is better than both. To get where fans want to be you have to do things like this and allow the best talent to come and commit when they're comfortable. See you can't live and believe in the fantasy of morals and ethics in recruiting. Its all about making your team better. The famous quote a top 3 voach told me was "if you ain't cheating, coach you ain't trying" in recruiting paying and buying aren't the only cheats.

Agree. If Jones or Francois do not end up as Vols then I think it will be because they felt another school was a better fit. I highly doubt it's because CBJ passed on them as Leb likes to believe.

If I were CBJ, I would go for 3 QBs in this class if you can make the numbers work. Jennings and Dormady are not scared to compete and both understand they have plenty of work to do. They don't expect to be handed a position like some t of prima donnas. So your not going to hurt their feelings. Peterman is very likely to transfer which wasn't the case at the time of both commitments. So Butch was not lying or deceiving anyone with the 2 QB class comment. Since then Peterman proved he just doesn't have IT. year 3 is a critical year for Butch to continue the momentum. In a system where your QB runs a lot the odds of injury increase for that position. Thus CBJ has to increase his odds of hitting on a star QB that could play immediately if forced to play one of them.

Jennings needs years of polishing IMO at QB to be ready to perform at this level at that position. Dormady is a year removed from throwing shoulder surgery

I agree with you. If Peterman stays, your scenario should hopefully play out. However, I think the reports of Peterman leaving after the bowl game are legit. If we have learned our lessons from the RB attrition this year and last year's QB injuries, we will need 4 QBs on the roster. This situation sadly will force a really tough decision elsewhere on the roster and commitment list.
