torrance gibson came up to ohio state to see the sights and decide whether he could see himself in a buckeye uniform. He was not necessarily going to throw at osus friday night lights camp.
The 6-4, 200-pound gibson, ranked as the nations no. 26 prospect and no. 2 dual threat quarterback, liked what he saw so much he found himself on the turf field at ohio stadium throwing passes to receivers.
When it was all done, gibson a standout from fort lauderdale (fla.) american heritage high school -- walked out of ohio stadium almost arm in arm with osu head coach urban meyer. They parted company, but it was clear that ohio state had made an impression on gibson.
Gibson has posted lists of his top schools periodically on twitter. Ohio state was fifth on a recent list with other top choices like tennessee, lsu, alabama and auburn also up there.
He was asked where ohio state will be on that list the next time he posts it.
a lot of ohio state fans will be happy after this list i put out, gibson said. i dont want to release it, but ohio state fans will be really happy.

gibson had previously said he wanted to announce his college choice oct. 20. It is unclear whether that will still happen or how he will stagger any visits.
