I get the feeling that it could be as few as 2-3 more spots left and that is it. Matthews had said he felt 2-3 current commits could be debatable to actually sign with the Vols. That could mean we could see 4-5 different names on the commit list by NSD. IMO there are maybe just a handful of kids the coaches are focused on for those last few spots.

Weren't you adamant that Ohio State had completely backed off Gibson and that he would land at Miami or UCF? I'm pretty sure you stated that opinion at least 30 times.

I think OSU was very much moving on. TG not visiting there probably played into that somewhat as he had scheduled several visits and kept no showing. The OSU board is where I saw them saying TG was not in play for them any more. Clearly him finally showing up has changed that. Of course that depends on if Oscar Meyer would actually take him. I mean UT was his leader yesterday and it was clear they were not taking him. If TG wants to be a suckeye, he would probably be well advised to commit now and not wait till Oct.

All Urbs has to say is look at how good of a QB Tebow actually is. Not a QB at all. And it worked in his system and a Heisman and NC. Of course that doesn't mean a successful NFL career, but if he is dead set on QB in college, then an H back or even a WR could fit.

Maybe.

Instate guy. Threw for almost 7000 yards in just 2 years. Almost 100 TDs passing. Over 70% completion %. Also rushed for almost 1500 yards and another 22 TDs.

Kid is no joke IMO.

I don't care if they follow recruits. That is no big deal IMO. However I can't understand anyone tweeting to a 17 year old kid. If a grown man was tweeting a 17 year old girl "can't wait to see you on the hill" or "you would look great in orange!". They'd need to have a seat while Chris Hansen talked to them. It doesn't make it any less creepy to me that the 17 year old is a dude that plays football.

Then the creepiness gets worse when people wish life failure and injury on a kid that says he likes another school a little more on this particular day.

I can see both sides of taking or passing on Gibson, either would be fine with me. I just find it annoying how obsessed everyone has become with this recruitment.

Ditto. I just checked twitter and it makes me feel bad for some people. Grow up and stop tweeting at or about high schoolers with them tagged.
