He doesn't have it in him to come here and compete, he wants someone to beg and say the QB job is his, coach doesn't work that way, we don't need those type of players, we had enough of those the last several years, wish him luck with little urbie at the little ohio suks, oh I mean state.
Also from Wiltfong:
Gibson competed in the camp, which was not expected, and he showed the elite athleticism that college programs covet. At 6-foot-4, 200-pounds Gibson was erratic as a passer, but he made some strong throws and the tools are there to be fine-tuned. In a game setting when you add the run element, hes an absolute game-changer with the football in his hands.
Our recieving core is to BA not to be able to get the ball to them. Pro Style QB is a good thing imo.
TG finds schools that he wants to play QB for, but ends up somewhere else when this schools let him know that they do not want him as a QB. He could very well end up at Ohio State. Their QB under Herban Meyer, is not known to be a great passer. That just n=might fit his skill set.
Sounds like a perfect fit for CUM's system.
Tebow was just a truck who could throw the occasional good pass to a wide open receiver. He was never asked to thread the needle or read defenses. It paid off for him in the NFL..... Oh wait.
While I've not followed this kids recruitment as closely as most, he sounds very wishy washy. Not a quality that leads to success for QBs. I get the feeling the coaching staff cooled on him somewhat but would take him if he wanted to come.
I'm in the great if he comes but oh well if he doesn't camp.
