So you are hanging your hat on that straw man? Even though you know Dormady did not play last year, and has not truly been evaluated. But you say TG is rated higher than Dormady. When it is all said and done, QD will be a more higher rated prospect than TG at QB.

Your previous argument was that TG was a top 20 player...now he is top 50. Next he will be top 100. At what point do you say ok....maybe not.

There are too many stories, too many red flags for a sane person not to pause and think what is going on with this young man.

While nothing in recruiting surprises me, I doubt much of at least the UT stuff is true.

Could the UT fans from Chattanooga who supposedly picked him up be considered boosters? Maybe. Seeing as he was not on an OV, his hotel/food was not paid for by UT so any bills he ran up would have been on him. Do I think UT coaches "took him home"? Of course not. He was on an Allegiant flight out of Knoxville. Now could his offer had been pulled while on the visit? Of course it could have. CBJ did take another QB commitment that weekend while TG was in town.

Hold on to that for the few precious milliseconds left...I haven't read the article so I have to wonder...how did he get ranked as an athlete AND a QB?... Do they do that for everybody?...or is the four stars his athlete ranking...Swain said on his show that TG is a 3 star at QB...and he does camps, so maybe he has more cred than Matthews (but less than Dilfer). :glare:

He is still a top 20 player. We were talking one service.

247 has seen both throw in person. They both have the exact same amount of qb film. 247 reranked both. Gibson is still higher. So your argument has already been proven wrong. After seeing both in person with the same amount of qb film 247 has Gibson no 19 overall, Dormady 171. So why is he not higher on 247?

HAHAHA that TG story sounds exactly like the stuff Willie Williams wrote about his recruitment. Seems to me like someone on that Miami board is a great fiction writer.

Its a little different with posters claiming inside info. But when guys like Hubbs and Coach Mathews say we aren't taking Gibson at QB then what some posters say means nothing.

He is ranked only as a qb on Scout now. He is a 4 star qb. The whole recruitment the recruiting experts have said he is a 4 star qb but was a 5 star athlete.

Pretty confident that id Butch is telling Dormady and his Dad we arent recruiting another QB then Gibson wont be at UT. Too many in the know guys are saying we arent taking another QB and only one more WR, Jefferson. And as Hubbs said teams are backing off him and the ncaa wants to talk to some people about his recruitment, pretty sure Butch doesnt want those issues around his team with as well as things are going right now. Feel confident Gibson won't be playing in Knoxville. If the ncaa is wanting to talk to some people about him why would fans want to take that risk?

I will be interested to see where and how Gibson is ranked when new rankings come out. The rumors of Ohio State and Auburn backing off continue to grow. Miami is said to be taking a pass on him as well. Many schools have concerns regarding him and I understand the NCAA may be interested in interviewing some people involved with him and how they are handling the recruiting process.

You must not follow recruiting much. Coach's don't back of guys they want because they are committed to another team or rumored to be a silent. Coach's slow recruiting on guys because they have some potential issues, they realize they dont fit their system but definitely not because they are favoring someone else.

CBJ and our coaches are doing a great job of recruiting. Do I think for 1 second that Oscar Meyer or Malzahn backs off ANY recruit they really want because claims that UT leads? Not a chance.

The other services have not even updated their rankings. What are you talking about? Are you seriously telling me that TG is a BETTER QB than QD? I refuse to believe that you honestly think this.

So 247 didn't update him? I specifically said 247.


Yes they did. They saw both in person. Both have one year of qb film. Gibson is more than 100 spots higher. They reranked them both. Dormady went from unranked on there to a top 175 4 star.

Hopefully I am correct with this. I think he was a running backs coach for us before I was born. I also think he actually played for vandy. He apparently has really good connections with the program, and is viewed as trustworthy in his reporting.
