Doubt they actually have any connections to what's going on. Just regurgitation of opinions

Until it comes directly from the kids mouth or someone like Hubbs, it's really just speculation

Depending on how you look at it, we already have 1-2 QBs in this recruiting year. I'm sure we will go for one more but we can be pickier with Dormady commit.

I am sorry guys. I see my mistake. I typed in fans who have a sense of entitlement that do not want the Vols to succeed. My phone auto corrected to Vandy but I wanted it to say Alabama. My mistake.

Mr. Cherry does not need mentioning...he is Omnipresent in all things good and evil. He will smite the offense at the Opening and the Lord will grin. Also, I didn't mention him because he's already UT Commit, not because I forgot him! :)

I'm with you. We've had our share of talented but immature time wasters (not saying Gibson is one of these, i have no idea). It's time to build a team of young men willing to shut up, do their job, and work as a team.

K-town king and Sergeant Vol are pathetic. Just because we disagree with you doesn't mean we aren't true fans. And people like Hubbs speak in code all the time so you have to infer what they are really saying. When Hubbs says he thinks we are in a "good position" with a certain recruit it most likely means they are going to commit soon. He can't come out and say so and so is going to commit this weekend. If they say something directly then they lose their source and can't provide as much info. If they say they think we might back off of TG in the future then we probably already have. They know how much we contact a certain recruit.

They didn't say that. Hubbs didn't say it at all. Callahan said it could happen. Go ahead and keep putting words in their mouths they didn't say though.

It's a long time to NSD gentlemen. TG could change his mind umpteen times before then even if he commits somewhere. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. I personally don't think he is a talent we can pass on, but don't know what's in the coaches' minds. If he wants to be here, we take him IMO.

But I do think it's at least possible that Tennessee ultimately could back off Gibson. It's a somewhat tricky situation for the Vols, considering that Gibson is involved with a number of their other current targets, and completely backing off Gibson might leave a sour taste in the mouths of some of the guys he knows. But I would not consider him one of UT's top targets at this point, if that makes sense.

So the next time Hubbs says he likes where we are with a certain recruit are you going to argue with anyone who says that recruit will commit soon even though that's what happens everytime? Or are you only against inferring what they actually mean when it's bad news? Don't worry. No matter what they say you can still dream about TG playing for the Vols every night until he signs with someone else.

By far the dumbest post I've ever read on VN for a couple reasons.

1. Hubbs is the most connected person when it comes to UT Sports... Not just football. And that is fact. He's been doing this for 20 years if not more. His network of contacts and relationships inside the program supersedes anyone else.

2. Rivals and 247 are 2 rival businesses. They are huge competitors. I'm pretty sure that several of those guys hate each other. I highly doubt Callahan or whoever else would tell Hubbs what info they just received. Asinine period.

And probably about 60-65% of the recruiting and team news that you read on VN is brought from Hubbs and VQ. Hubbs is no rookie in this business. He's a professional and UT and all of us are extremely lucky to have him.

Wouldnt a true fan want a highly rated recruit? I mean we are trying to get more talent and speed since Dooley screwed the pooch.

Nevermind, we are in a good enough position to turn down athletes with amazing tangibles. You win.
