Since you keep bringing up stars and stargazing, I'll post this to you for the third time and maybe you'll actually reply this time

How sleeper recruits still make the NFL, despite blue-chip dominance - SBNation.com

And FWIW, I want TG because I've watched his hudl film and he's a freak of nature with tremendous potential at 2 positions. But let's not let facts get in the way of your rant.

There were still 9 five stars that were not drafted. You act as if TG is a sure thing. If that is broken down further by position, it will be even more interesting. FTR you can't use one year of data to prove a point, because that one year can be skewed. But whatever, fight the good fight.

Can you find a link where I said TG is a sure there? If you're gonna keep spewing your nonsense then please show me 1 single post where I've said that.

And it's not just one year of data. You can find this stuff easily for any recruiting class. But I'm sure you'll come back to let us know that these NFL GMs, scouts and coaches are all just "stargazers" too, right? Lulz, you keep fighting the good fight and sharing your vast weath of "stargazing" knowledge with the lucky people of Volnation.

Try to remember all the lil people in the mosh pits in between course servings. :p

Not looking good so far...just thought it would be fun watching UT announce its return during an "upset" of OU. Especially if an OU fan bought my tickets :salute:

Kinda harsh? Maybe... :)

I notice that a lot of five star busts like sentral Henderson are drafted in the 7th with their away picks. The NFL drafts on potential towards the end more than real production. I'd like to see the #'s without late round picks.

It was implied buddy. By your infatuation with him, it is implied by your responses and your butt hurtedness that he is a sure thing. I've state my opinion that I don't think that he should be a take at either QB or WR. Not from a talent perspective but from a team chemistry perspective. I liken him to TO or some other prima donna. IF he was the leader you claim him to be, it is my opinion that HE should lead from the front by committing and recruiting other players to his team. Kind of like what Dormandy did. Not start a blog regarding his recruitment. What other recruits have blogs about their recruitment?

Read the entire article I posted a few pages back.

Each year, roughly 4,500 football players sign Division I scholarships. In 2010, the year from which most of the prospects in the 2014 draft came, 27 were rated as five-stars by Rivals.com. Five-stars are considered no-doubt, superstar-type players. There were 395 four-stars, a designation for very good players, and 1,644 three-stars, or good players. And 2,434 were rated as two-stars or not rated at all, meaning they are at the lowest levels of FBS (85-scholarship level) or FCS players (63-scholarship level).

If, as many columnists maintain, the chances of a two-/three-star being drafted in the first round are "just about as good as those guys who receive all the attention," we would expect the following results in the first round, based on the distribution of players:

Five-stars: Zero or one
Four-stars: Three
Three-stars: 12
Two-stars/unranked: 17
But nobody, not even writers, would expect that result.

The actual breakdown:

Five-stars: Four
Four-stars: 13
Three-stars: 12
Two-stars: Three
That's not close to the same.

Four- and five-star recruits were 995 percent more likely to be drafted in the first round than their lesser-ranked counterparts.

I remember Willie Williams, a 5 star LB recruit out of Miami, did a blog for ESPN during his recruitment.

We all know how that turned out.

Ah, so now wanting a 5* top 20 player nationally means I'm infatuated. Good to know. And again I'll ask, find a quote from me where I've said Gibson or any other recruit is a "sure thing". I'll keep waiting.

You're absolutely entitled to your opinion, sure. But when you start calling everyone butthurt and stargazers when we don't agree with your mindless drivel then you're gonna have people call you out on your BS.

And FWIW, USA Today wanted Gibson to do a blog for them, not the other way around. They selected 5* CB Jabrill Peppers to do a blog for them last year, similar to Gibson's.

Would you even be able to cheer properly as Jalen goes in for the go ahead TD? :clapping:

Any new update on Gibson? I havent heard anything about him in a few weeks. It seems strange for him to be quiet this long. I dont want to read through the 20 pages of nonsense in this forum.
