JJ and QD are Vols. I don't have to prove "if" they took TG. IMO he is no longer being considered. He does not show as being a Vol commitment. I'm not arguing he should be.

No you don't have to prove that. So why are you so interested in proving they didn't, or wouldn't, accept his commitment?

I'm not trying to be a prick to you Leb, I sincerely want to know what it is that you know about the coaches that leads you to be so adamant - or is it something else?

So, if UT accepted Gibson's commitment right now, for QB, what would your feelings be and what sort of comments would you post?

There are 2 QBs committed. History tells me they won't take a 3rd. There have also been several reports of late that says it's not just UT backing away slowly.

Id rather see us in a good spot to land another QB in 2016. Taking just JJ and QD and being able to point to losing RF to 2016 QB recruits helps set that up IMO.

If they took his commitment, I would give it a BOOM just like I do with any other commitment. I'm not the coaches so of course it's not my decision. From following this recruitment from the beginning, I'm confident in saying TG to UT is not going to happen. TG may want to be a Vol. IMO he does not get to make that call.

This is called press coverage.

I'm sorry, has Quentin Dormady played in a real football game since 2012? Does he have 4.4 speed and a Florida state championship on his resume yet? Let's see if Dormady can win some games before tossing around words like "superstar."

If Dormady could win a FL state championship WHILE playing ball in TX?...would have to trump Gibson's 4.4 speed and Twitter skills. :eek:k:

I haven't seen any film of Gibson playing WR, have you? If you have please link it, I would like to see it. If not then your statement holds no validity.

Okay, so it's outlandish to say the guy that plays WR full is the more polished one? That holds no validly? I'm sorry, but that holds more validity than most of your posts in this thread.

You ask for proof of everything, but there's no way you can prove the alternative.

He'll say the burden of proof is on you because its like his kangaroo court in here. Kinda funny.

If someone needs 100% proof TG to UT is all but off the table one needs to only note his Orange UT bracelet he had worn for a while, he no longer is wearing.

TIFWIW.

"Always look to the twitter for answers". :)

The whole "not wanting to believe TG won't end up at UT" thing is getting a little out of hand. How is it that people have become so attached to him?

That's a two way street, the people that don't want him here are the first ones to comment after it gets bumped

I'm not saying I don't want him here. I wanted him here in the past. But I was never so attached to him that I couldn't just let him go. The way other commits have played out (re: numbers @LV), it doesn't look like we will get him. We have two very talented QB commits and our WR core is stacked. I'm totally happy with that.

By the way, Johnny Manziel played two(?) seasons of high school football as a QB, was rated a 3*, and look where he is now. That was directed at whoever it was above talking about Dormady not winning a state championship.

That wasn't directed at you. It's more for the last 2 months or so it's the exact same argument page after page from either point of view. I don't care if the young man comes here or not, but it gets old having to skim through 5 pages of pointless drivel to see if there is any new information

I'm sure there will be some attempt at wit about how nobody is forcing me to look at the thread so flame away

Not outlandish just inaccurate. If we had film of Gibson playing WR to compare to then fine. But we don't. In high school kids play different positions. Before North came he played RB, QB and WR. He only played WR for one full season. Nick Marshall played QB what one year and was better than our QBs who have played QB for a long time.

I have never said I can prove the alternative. When people make these claims, what's wrong with asking for proof? If you cannot provide some proof then don't make the claim. Sorry that doesn't fly with what you think.

It's a safe assumption.

North made plays as a WR; people knew what he was capable of. Nick Marshall is the exception to the rule.

Jefferson is more POLISHED. His father is a WR coach and he's played the position for several years. If that's not enough logical evidence for you to conclude the previous statement, you're pushing an agenda.

Ok then I am pushing an agenda, would you like to know what it is? I want great talent to come to UT to get our program back to prominence. I want defenses to fear our offense. I want dynamic playmakers to suit up in orange and white. I want us to win games. I want the best players possible.

If wanting the best players in the country is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.

Kiffen had great talent. It got kicked off. Food for thought. (Again, not saying TG will, but there has been issues reported)

So Jefferson is the more polished receiver, no? That's what we're discussing here.
